The only way to go faster in orthodontics is by applying precise force systems to correct the problem. The use of an activated transpalatal bar to derotate molars is a great example of efficiency.
Watch on this video how a TPA symmetrically activated can work to apply a couple to derotate a first molar.

Thank you! Can we use instead of TMA Goshgarian type ss 0,91 mm with loop directed distally? The biomechanics and activation will be the same?

I'm afraid that the forces delivered by a 0,9 mm wire will be too high. For active applications, I strongly recommend the 0,8 mm wire.

Fantastic! With the molars with different rotations, don't you risk finding yourself in geometry 5 or 4? whereby the most rotated molar also has a mesialization vector. Is the sectional you used on the left side an anchorage?
@essentialbiomechanics9381
@essentialbiomechanics9381 Год назад
Yes, the sectional wire onthe contralateral side can serve as anchorage. The geometry VI force system application can be controlled by the degree of the bends, which must be equal in both sides, independently of the rotations of each molar. For keeping a more constant force system, it's advisable to remove the appliance and reactive it in each consultation.

Why did it work only on 16 when we can clearly see that the TPA is bilaterally activated? 16 got distally rotated but 26 stayed without any difference, is it because of segmental archwire on the left side?
@essentialbiomechanics9381
@essentialbiomechanics9381 Год назад
Yes. The contralateral side has a rigid wire to act as anchorage.

Sir can you explain the deactivation couple, how is being played ?
@essentialbiomechanics9381
@essentialbiomechanics9381 Год назад
Deactication forces or couples represent the forces perceived by the teeth. They are the reaction of the forces that the orthodontist has used to instal the appliances (named as activation forces). In a simple example: if you compress an opend coil spring to instal between two teeth, the compressive forces are the ACTIVATION forces, and the reaction DEACTIVATION forces will be expansive ones (perceived by the teeth).

Dose this rotation can be corrected by niti arch wire??

Would you please like to share pdf of secrets of biomechanics?
@essentialbiomechanics9381
@essentialbiomechanics9381 3 года назад
Yes, you can correct with Niti wires, but the clinical response will be different in some aspects. First, it will probably take more time to derotate the molar, and you'll not get the mesial space induced by the couple application.
