With the internal cable path (conduit). Tie a tissue onto some fishing line and suck it through with a vacuum and then pull some rope through then the cable. You guys are doing great and looks so good that’s my dream setup

Or put a magnet on the end of the wire and drag it down with another magnet (aluminium in non magnetic so it wont stick to the conduit. Engineers way of doing it :p) Or, get some yellow tongue and tape the cable to that and push it down (Electricians way of doing it :p)

When you can get up on the roof run another bead of sealant around the edge of the fan and the window frames. Any hole in the roof or sides is a water magnet and can ruin your rig. From a caravan builder 👍

Chris, just a recommendation mate, turn your blind units upside down so the sun shade is coming from bottom. It allows privacy by lifting part way up and whilst still letting in light. Should be just a flip.

Looking good. Just a consideration: We find it's better to have the flywire blind coming from the top and solid blind from the bottom. Then you can have the solid blind partly up to maintain privacy while letting air in through the flywire at the top. We admire your work on this massive project.

Chris. The electrical wires can be fed through with a spark's snake or some flooring yellow tounge strip, how ever when you built it ( hindsight ) is a beautiful thing. You could of put string in the conduit, to attach to the wires and pull throught , Any ways. Gr8 build man, hit Cruise mode. Don't stress. This is the bit thats going to make every thing you both do, so MUCH better, Breathe bud

another one is to use mig torch liner if you have an old one laying around . they are like a long spring , but your magnet idea is good and the one higher up of using cotton balls on cotton with a vacuum to pull it through . (except the teddy bears hate it when their cotton balls are used)

Re: the fan wires... What about adding a small flush-mounted access panel in the ceiling directly beside the fan (i.e a switch cover or similar). You can add a couple of loops of wire there plus you can always access it if you ever need to replace the fan. Good luck!

Blow string through the hole with compressed air. Then tie the string to wire and pull them back through.
@posko76

Next time you need to feed cable, put a steel nut taped on the end of the cable and and use a magnet to guide the nut in the direction you need the cable to go. This is similar to the technique used on bikes with internal cable routing.
@lostintheright_direction

With the cable through the ducting, tie a small washer to a string and get a string magnet to pull it through.

hello from Las Vegas, i’ve helped build out a couple box type rigs and you are correct glass is expensive so what we did is went to a wrecking yard RVs and pulled the windows out of some high-end motorhomes for super cheap and then used them. PS, if the built-in conduit channels match up just go to where are you going to put there switch and then at the top you can take a string and tie it to a piece of toilet paper or napkin or something and then you take a vacuum at the other end will you want to come out and vacuum a string through the channel and then use it to pull the wire through so you don’t have to cut any unnecessary holes to get the wiring through I hope you get this before you cut something apart.

You're going to need to 'goop' things together, for bonding and for waterproofing. Get yourself some Soudal T-Rex. It's like SikaFlex. Glues anything to anything, and it even sets under water. The only thing I've found that it won't glue is HDPE plastic and those sorts of 'greasy' plastics.

Easier way to run those wires down the conduit: Tie a magnet to a string and place into the hole. Then use another magnet to feed the magnet inside all along the way. Once you have the hole drilled in the side, you feed the magnet and string through and hard part done. Tie wire to string and pull back through the opposite way - done!

It is apparent Chris is upset. Multiple delays are aggravating but to dwell on them whilst on video...My guess is that you were outright lied to. I read another comment guessing the box was not built to spec. That would push me over the edge. I noticed the clamp in the rear window opening and that had me thinking quality issues. No matter what, you two are powering on and that is positive and motivating. Stay healthy and that vent doesn’t look that bad.
