I think i love these kinds of videos that you do with the news papers! As always so informative! My worst subject was history my teacher just taught one way. It was sooo boring. My boyfriend teaches me by showing me war movies pauses it then explains the history to me. They should open up a school for the autistic so we can all reach our full potential they just classify us in the special ed , just because they are too lazy. Most school systems suck. Did you know albert einstein was on the spectrum? My mind was blown when i found out. I love the plastic, and all the crinkles.! You are the only teacher that relaxes me while i learn best combo ever!
LOL! I do the same thing with Mary. The other night we watched Hostiles with christian Bale and I went full history professor mode. LOL! I am a history geek.
Excellent video! Nice crinkly ASMR and we go on a time-machine trip back to the Victorian Civil War period. And what they say about war is true; " War makes great reading but lousy living." ( Are you listening, Vladimir Putin?)
According to an inflation calculator I found online that $2000 is almost $60,000 today, who ever offered the reward mustve been pretty important at the time
“According to the Library of Congress, wearing gloves while handling antiquarian books may do more harm than good. Portland State University Library Special Collections follows their advice to handle most rare and valuable books with clean, dry hands.” Specifically, the Library of Congress recommends the following: “Before handling any collection item, thoroughly wash and dry hands. Contrary to widespread belief, gloves are not necessarily recommended to handle rare or valuable books. Gloves (nitrile or vinyl) are always recommended if there is reason to suspect a health hazard (e.g., mold, arsenic). Clean gloves (nitrile, vinyl, or lint-free cotton) are also recommended when handling photograph albums/photographs or books with metal or ivory parts. Aside from those specific situations, it is generally preferable to handle your books with clean hands, washed with soap and thoroughly dried, rather than with gloves.”
