Welcome to Union Acres Housing Development. This area is located in St. James parish, in the community of Irwin Montego Bay and it is about 9km (15mins) from Fairview Shopping Centre a popular, well-known landmark in the Montego Bay area.
It is located just adjacent the gated community known as Meadows of Irwin which is nestled in the cool hills above the city in a suburb with mountainous backgrounds and is one of the few housing developments with its own Police Station and also a High and Primary School within the vicinity. Said area continues to be a popular area for new home owners or for those seeking retirement homes or investment properties.
This new housing development is being spearheaded by the National Housing Trust (NHT), in association with Jamaica Civil Servants Association (JSCA) and Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU). This project promises to offer 144 detached homes to Public Sector workers, specifically, on completion. They are still in the development phase, but some homes should be made available as soon as June 2024.
The developers of this project are Can-Cara Developments Ltd; the same developers who gave us Meadows of Irwin.
