Several projects I'm working on cam together and I just had to get this on film. So how many cars can the brass hybrid Precision Craft Model Big Boys pull? A lot. A lot more than this. I just ran out of cars to slap on the back of these two beasts.

Fantastic! I love seeing double heading steam, but then you add these two monsters into the equation and it's just AMAZING. I would love to see more footage of these work horses pulling together a string of freight like this around your layout. I model the opposite end of steam with my 1870's Virginia and Truckee 4-4-0's. I'm so focused and zeroed in on my 19th century railroading, whenever I get to see end of steam era railroading like this, it always strikes me how much technological advancements were made in 50-60 years. The Big Boys were such amazing machines.

Lol, yeah, the Big Boys were closer to the space shuttle than an American class loco. Good luck with the V&T endeavor. Myself, I think it would be cool to model the old Carson and Colorado over Montgomery Pass in it's heyday.

Wow! 109 cars plus caboose. Thanks for sharing.

Magnificent!! My layout doesn't have enough track to accommodate a train that long. One minor quibble. I would love to see this done again with the camera focused on the curve at the front of the video. Apart from that, thanks for sharing!

I hear ya. The way I had the camcorder positioned, I couldn't tell exactly where the point of focus was. Better lighting would have been a plus. I just really wanted to get a shot of it in action before the end of the work day.

I must comment on your outstanding track work, scenery, and train handling. It’s rare to see such a beautiful piece.

Impressive train. The 47th boxcar (about 1:59 ) looks like it's about to be pulled apart or loose it's front truck.

Thanks. It's funny. All those cars were inspected and I couldn't find any perps. I think it was the dynamics of being in the back like that that made it behave that way. For our op sessions our max train length is much more reasonable so I have no idea which car that is.

Now that's a refer train like I remember. Pacific Fruit Express.

The eastbound pull up to the divide was a great shot. And not for nothing, that is one killer unit train. Another outstanding video Allen. I'm hoping to make the next op session on Apr 8th. Right now I don't think so, my knee does not have the stamina of me being able to be on my feet for all those hours. Keeping my fingers crossed that my knee strength will be some what stronger in another week.

Let's hope you can make it. You could always hang out in staging where you can sit down. I'm in page springs right now checking out the flood. Cornville road is shut down 😮

@@allenscottmontgomery3929 I will give some thought about staging. On a not so high note, I hope all the residents that are creek/river side will be fairing well, and not have to beat feet for higher ground.

@@tedmaas3588 there's a lot of folks that had to move their RVs or stay in a hotel. Bartlett will be full for sure.

@@thetrainsrock With three op sessions in 7 weeks, I'm just trying not to make a mess. So I'm upgrading locos. Keep at em. They'll hire you eventually. How can they not, with that passion?

I was too busy worrying about keeping everything on the rails. Plus, that lead loco needs some more attention to it's speakers. I don't have them installed correctly to be loud enough.
