Union x Jordan AJKO 1 Low "White Canvas" & "Sail Leather": Review & On-Feet

Union Los Angeles' latest collab remixed the 80s silhouette, the AJKO, and made it into a low cut. Releasing in two versions earlier this month, I'm reviewing both of them - one in white canvas, the other in a sail coloured leather. Both also feature interchangable Velcro Swooshes for added customization ability. Check out my review to learn more and let know which of the two you prefer more!

The leather pair has surprisingly nice materials. The only ajko to have nice materials that I can remember. The canvas always put me off em but I copped the leather pair and they're a good deal at the price you can get them for

These are both so good, glad they flew under the radar for an easy grab for both. I prefer the leather bc of the better mix of materials for sure, but I’m kind of excited to beat up the canvas pair. I think these will look amazing once worn in and roughed up

I was definitely worried about the canvas getting dirty, so while I do like the look of the grey and white, I only went for the leather pair.

I was waiting for this one. I went with the Canvas pair and hit on the initial drop. I wanted a different shoe and IMHO it did not disappoint. Simple clean look with a nice touch with the interchangeable swooshes. I was hoping they would add more color swooshes that we would be able to buy and get creative with. Wishful thinking!! Great review as always.

Just got the white canvas model. Not sure why some people hate on it. Assuming because it’s basic. Not flashy enough, but people will wear some goofy af shoes but somehow a basic white clean looking minimal shoe is bad? Ok. Lol this is a summer shoe.

I nearly copped these but I bought the powder blues and bleached corals off eBay instead being into shoes and living in Australia is a nightmare unless you want to pay resale

Thanks Sean. Yes, reason it is called AJKO (Knock Off) is because it has the Vandal mid/out soles which has no air unit.

The leather pair is great for everyday use and low key heat. The canvas one is going to get ruined just like the Travis AF1s.

The canvas pair resembles the Neutral Grey OG Low Jordan 1 so not much need also I have plenty of canvas AJKOs so the colourway and materials appeal more on the leather pair for me. But im not liking the resale price much for such a basic retro style shoe so I will probably miss out on both these drops even tho I liked both from the first news of the release.

The leather pair didn’t drop here in Europe, but I managed to get the canvas pair. I went a half size up as I usually do with AJ1’s due to my wide feet, but they still pinched my feet around the base of the toe box. :/

I have the canvas pair. I also have narrow feet so the toe box buckles and dents inward making them look horrible on me. I love the shoe from a distance but hate them on my feet. Wish I got the leather pair. 😢

hmm if anything they’re a bit more snug than og aj1 low? but you could prob do half down if you like a snug fit

I wish the leather pair had the swooshes that came on the canvas pair. I would never use the green swoosh.. Still side by side I like the look of the leather a lot better!! Look more vintage

Sail and leather better. But I think it’s plagiarism of the yellow tag on swoosh invented by Virgil Abloh. And we saw a replacement swoosh on the AF1 Travis Scott sail. Thanks for the review. Love you bro. You are the best sneaker blogger.
