We're at intermission of the appraisal fair at Treasure Towne antiques and vendor mall in Post Falls, Idaho, and it's our chance to look around! This fun store is celebrating its anniversary with some new dealers, fresh merchandise and appraisal fair fun, and we bring you a taste of all of it in this video.
Shopping and seeing the new additions is our first order, and there's some really good collections we haven't seen elsewhere! A vast range of darning eggs from the era when socks were dear enough to be worth fixing include art glass scarcities, including a Nailsea example from Victorian England. Fishing lures, a print by a listed Montana artist, gold and silver era comic books and some screaming deals on attractive small furniture pieces catch our eye, while an obscure Hawaiian pottery piece and a surprisingly fun figural shaker set go up to the counter for us to buy!
Meanwhile, we still have the later afternoon appraisal clients to see, and they have more interesting things to show us! An anonymous MCM console bowl, silver plate candelabra that are hiding their true identity, Victorian jewelry and a "Gone with the Wind" lamp all come across our desk, and we talk about how to solve some longstanding family mysteries while we identify and evaluate fun finds from the golden west!
