So glad Tobias was mentioned-I have 2 boy names and Tobias is one of them! And if we do end up using it, we will probably shorten it in daily life as Toby! Tobias Christopher Maurice...Christopher after my Dad and Maurice after my Granddad!
i swear ive seen all the names i could have found and then every week SJ comes out here and proves me wrong 😂 love Emrys! It's a great alternative to Emmett I think
Baby name Monday is basically my version of doing homework! Absolutely love some of these gems. I have a sneaky suspicion we are having a boy so this video has helped massively. Now just to get dear husband to agree... (Can you play the 'i am carrying the baby for 9 months, I get the final say' card for baby names? Asking for a friend...)
Billie Short omg yes 😂 in the middle only I think! I remember being wheeled down the corridor after giving birth to Finn and saying he was finn barnaby and henrik was on cloud 9 😘😘😘
one of my favorite names i’ve ever heard is from my mom’s daycare she works at one of the little boys is richard the fourth so they call him riv like R + IV (the roman numeral for 4)
A name I came across while looking for my sons name (my first baby, I'm due September) was the name Wexton. I like the Wex, so Wextly was one I considered as well. I think its a cute strong sounding name.
I would love to see a list of names inspired by revolution and times of change, given everything going on in the world currently. I think that would be a grat way to use your platform!
I'm really advocating for the name Roland. I'm not having children and my sister doesn't want to use it, so I'm hoping someone looking for names will love it!
Named my baby boy Evander and he will be a year old on the 12th. I LOVE his name so much! 😊 We call him Van as a nickname but his big sister calls him Salamander 😂
SJ, you helped me help my friend name her kitten with this video. It's a little gray male. When I suggested the name Remy, she loved it RIGHT AWAY. No hesitation and no second option needed. :)
Emrys will always make me think of Merlin, though I think both it and Merlin itself are nice names - I've watched Merlin since I it aired so I'll always love it. Gideon always makes me think Of Hetty Feather, which for me is a nice vibe I think, and Malachy reminds me of the Hollyoaks character (who I did love). Also I was never really bothered about Wilbur until a film I watched recently (which is now a joint favourite for me) had a main character called Wilbur. I really can't stop thinking about it now Edit: Castiel is my favourite Cas- name. I think it's a very good mix of vibes, though would be linked with the popular Supernatural character. Wouldn't bother me but worth noting
@@SJ_Strum At some point I'm gonna change my name and recently I've been loving Brendan. The trouble is I can't tell if it's just because of the HO character as I've spent most of lockdown watching his clips! x
Brooks reminds me of the preppy clothing brand Brooks Brothers. Evander is still Evander Holyfield to me His fight with Mike Tyson where Mike bit his ear off is still legendary!
My favourite list Girls: Aili Coast (pronounces eye-lee, means bright light or noble) Marlie Ocea, Sofia Lake, Charlie Oak 🥰 Boys: Miller Gray, Levi Coast, Calihan Miller, Manila Scout I’m obsessed with these unique, coastal/boho names. Love your Channel 💗
There are so many cool baby names- a lot of which are set by youtubers! Family Fizz have a Koa, the Norris Nuts all have very unique names and Alex Centomo just had a baby named Arkham. How cool!
Just want to say thank you for keeping this up! I have been watching you since the beginning even before I was TTC. I am now month 8 of TTC and no luck! But love watching these as you always come up with such unique names and I love having a unusual name so want my children to experience a life of having a unusual name! Haha! Thank you for always being upbeat it’s helped me. x
Another beautiful video SJ thanks for being a ray of positivity in these hard times!! Luca is always one of my favourites but recently heard in on a girl and am in love❣️🧚🏼♀️
My 18 months old is called Luca, we're Italians so it's a quite common name for us. But I always loved how sweet and soft it sounds while also being short and with a beautiful meaning :)
I wanted to name my son Roman back in 2009\2010 before I even began having children. I quickly changed my mind after discovering how popular the name was becoming. It's still an awesome name, though!
SJ, I enjoy watching all your videos so much. Maybe you can do a video on play location names. For examples, Montgomery (Monty), Trenton, Princeton, Sienna, Havanna, Cairo, Memphis, Elat, Kingston...etc.
I'm a teacher, and my current class of 28 × 9 year olds has 3 boys named Cruz in it... I think in Australia it was a very popular name with the Bogans 5-10 years ago
I love Finnian I've never thought of it before! Been loving Solomon lately as well as Clayton. One I've been crushing on is Connell which I started loving after watching Normal People 😍 another great video SJ 😘
Ludo has been on my list for a while! It will definitely be on our list next time we get pregnant, and I think it goes really well with our daughters name, Judith. Judith & Ludo, cute!
So excited to see Solomon on this list! 🙌 It's a name that lots of people know but don't often hear everyday. My 4 month old baby is Solomon and he is known as Sol 💙 great name video, SJ!
My boyfriend really loves the name Shepherd but I'm worried it's too different. Also our girl's name is definitely Sloane so we definitely couldn't have those as siblings (if anyone's watched Grey's Anatomy, they'll know!)
Evander is one of my top 3 names ❤️ I could never use Clayton because of its association with the scary/evil villain from the Tarzan cartoon. Hilary Duff named her daughter Banks Violet...which seems really weird to me since my surname is Banks (maybe for a boy)
Love your videos like always, but just a small point that your backing track is really loud and very distracting at the start. Please just make a little quieter if possible as i couldn't really hear what you were even saying. Thank you though. Wilbur is a lovely name and my favourite in this list!!!
Love baby names! I have been doing a few on my channel too. I was obsessed watching your videos when we were choosing our baby boys name! I’m currently 36 weeks 💖
I immediately added Evander to my list after you suggested it to me in in your live video (to name our baby after my stephparents Alexander and Alexandra). And now every time I hear/see it I love it even more. 🥰
I have a friend with a Tobias Kade, nickname Ti (Ty). Tobias is a lot less popular in the states! I know a million and a half Romans! I have a first cousin with a son named Roman Joseph. I like Otis, my husband LOVES Otis! Micah is headed quick toward the top 100 over here! I have a friend with a one year old named Micah Wade, another friend with a 9 y/o named Micah Kurt, and another from MARRIED to a Micah (he's in his mid-20s). Luca, Luke, and Lucas are all top 100 over here! Evander's a fave of mine and one I'd use in a heartbeat if my husband liked it! Ezekiel's quite popular over here (top 100) but it's so gorgeous. Love it for a middle name. Boaz is one I've seen talked about a lot in baby name communities for years, but it's never been a top 1000 name over here! Finnian is gorgeous and handsome, it makes me think of a knight! I have a first cousin in his mid-20s named Clayton Thomas, and I have friends with a 3 y/o named Jedidiah Clayton. Atlas Shrugged
I know a that most people won't know. I found it in a book a few years back. I think it is beautiful. I also think it is for girl.. The name is " Zabrie ". I also like the name Ciara which you dont hear that much anymore. Shelby is basically a unisex name but it is pretty.
I just found your channel and you’re amazing I love your videos! One of the last ones you mentioned ,koa, is what I named my rabbit a while ago lol! I have no kids because I’m young but I still really enjoyed this video!
Favs at the moment. I have always loved the name Tobias or any name with an -ias ending for ex.: Elias. Also loving the name Elliott/Elliot (it was my grandma's maiden name). Tadeáš is cute and a commonly used name in my country (Czech Republic) and a few other European countries I'd say, Thaddeus in English (or Thady, Taddeo). And there are so many more :D Thank you for another lovely name list!
I also love Elliot. If I had twins and they were either two boys or a boy and a girl I would definitely call them Elliot and Evander. Sounds like a fairytale to me
My partner’s name is Devin :) just found out we are having a baby boy and I’m struggling sooooo much with name ideas. I already have a Reuben which I absolutely love as a name but boys names are sooooo hard. Love this list!
I love the names Roman and Otis! They were both on my boy list when I was pregnant but I had a girl😊 I wouldn’t use Otis now as I have Iris and I think it’s too similar but I would still 100% go with Roman! I also love Luca (I know too many baby boys with that name recently though😩), Ezekiel, Atlas and Franco💛
I have loved the name Park ever since I read Rainbow Rowell’s book Eleanor & Park. Couldn’t get it past my hubby but I’m going to keep trying to use it as a middle name someday lol
SJ! I really need your help. My fathers name is Novis "Nah-vis", but he goes by Novy "Nah-Vee". His name is a family name, but we have no idea where it came from or what it means. I am an only child and he really wants me to name a kid after him to carry on the name. Especially since our last name will not be carried on - he is an only child as well. Do I name a girl Novi? What middle name would go with it? Do I name a boy Novis, and he could go by Novy? Or do I just use to as a middle name? I am very torn! Would love any of your input.

I need your help! I’m expecting a baby boy and his father insists on having either the names Jan/Gian or Ivan as a middle name. I’m from the United States and I would love a name that identifies to that as a first name. I’ve been struggling so much trying to find something that sounds good
