Thank you Nadine!!! Oh L'elephant! A weird and wonderful one, especially for very cold weather. I have a love/hate with it but am super intrigued and keep a travel spray that I enjoy sniffing. 👍👍👍
Ah yes TT fragrances are so wonderful as a whole. Amouage makes VERY unique ones for sure. I have a hard time with the line, but keep revisiting them. 💖💖💖
I really appreciate the time and consideration you give to fragrances that you don’t necessarily love at first sniff. I think it’s so important because some of the most beautiful compositions take some warming up to!
Yes to affordable hidden gems and layering combos videos!! 🥰😍 I have a few testers from Bravanariz and they're very different from anything I have in my collection 🥰😍 I appreciate you bringing us these unique scents 😘
I love the whole vibe of the camel sweater and the warm lipstick and hair. Just gorgeous, Veronica. I used to wear Womanity, and I loved it. I used to get tonnes of compliments on it, and I cannot remember why I never repurchased it. Hmmm. I think it's time to revisit. (Sold out on Shopper's Drug Mart. :( I have to wait. But thank you for reminding me about this beauty!) I'm 100% with you when it comes to Florabotanica. It was a "hate" and now it's a "love." Very unique and I can't WAIT to break her out when the thermometer can get above 0...so, like, end of April. Ryan doesn't like it, but I think he will! SHAMAL!!! RICHARD COME THROUGH!!! So many wonderful scents! Thank you for what you do! You've brought so many wonderful scents into my life. And you've done much more than that!
Thank you kindly! The sweater is one of my faves. 🥰 Yes, sounds like you need to revisit Womanity when it becomes available again! I find that Darin changes his mind about fragrances, especially if I don't tell him the "name" before he weighs in about it. 😁 Shamal is the bees knees - so unique and I love the bottle! 💯
yes ! part 2 of affordable hidden gems !😍 i don´t get any fish in Womanity.. but I get that salty air kind of scent to it... i LOVE that one !!! I hate that they doubled the price of that one here 😡 some unique ones I have are Kenzo Jungle LÉlephant (I don´t have anything as spicy as that one ), Le Participe Passé, and of course ones you mentioned, Florabotanica and Cafe Tuberosa... Ones I have sampled; Sonar by 2787 perfumes (with beer and burnt rubber) and Malt by Akro 😍
I just filmed the part 2 video 🥳 I can't believe Womanity is twice the cost now. Wow!!! Crazy. 🤦♀️ I need to go on and try Akro fragrances. I keep looking at the discovery set. Not sure what I'm waiting for. 🤔
I love fragrance layering ideas! I have combined certain perfumes and created combinations which allow me to enjoy fragrances which I don't enjoy as much individually.
These days I’m much more into “unique” scents vs. “conventional” ones. The most interesting ones are probably Times Square by Masque Milano (rosy berry lipstick with burned tire), Interlude by Amouage (walnut kiwi powdery incense leather with industrial notes), Angel’s Dust by FB (veeeeery sensual powder), Mixed Emotions by Byredo (smokey leathery tea with strong blackberry notes which remind one of 🐈⬛ litter🙄)… The list goes on and on😃
Hey Yana! I would LOVE to try Angel's Dust. Interlude is indeed an interesting one. Tell me more about this kitty litter one... surely it has some redeeming qualities if you want to smell like it, right?! 🥴😳😊
@@VeronicaSays Lol - the kitty litter analogy is a prevailing one on the Russian-speaking RU-vid. I myself had to use the entire force of my imagination to be able to make it out. However, to me it’s nothing but deliciously smelling bush of blackberry. But I know that many think otherwise and almost understand where they’re coming from as I have a 🐈⬛ myself😂
Baiser Vole is my FAVORITE floral EVER! It reminds me of a perfectly beautiful woman, wearing a Tiffany-blue colored dress and pristine white kitty heels, walking along a sprawling lush lawn on a clear Spring day!
Gucci Envy women's 1997. Nothing the same. Nothing. Jil by jil sander ( round white frosted bottle) Dune by dior ( vintage ) Christian LaCroix ( snail bottle) Krazy by krizia. Sahara noir by Tom ford. There's five. Loves all. 💋
Hey gorgeous! I have smelled two other frags with calone. I love the way you explained it. Sunshine Woman is definitely unique. I have found frags that share a similar tobacco and osmanthus, but it holds the title as does the house itself. Amouage is quite the unique house! My unique frags come from BDK and Tom Ford.
@@VeronicaSays pas ce soir for a more unique versatile scent followed by gris charnel... Then tabac rose! Maxaroma has/had the bundle travel set and I'm in love🥰🥰🥰 Dua hooked it up though😅
Ooooh!! I always forget to look on Maxaroma. 🤦♀️ I love Tabac Rose too. And the label gets my heart. Something about the floral relief. It's the simple things.
Lol, Survivor references!!! You know I’m here for that!! I’m also here for this look 👀 looking AMAZING!!!🤩🥰😘 and I love the fragrances - what a fun list!! I love a good weirdo fragrance too😂😂😂sending love!!!💜💜💜
I'm so glad you got the Survivor reference - of COURSE I was singing it straight for YOU! 😁😁😁 Thank you so much! This was the day I played with the Patrick Ta palette for the first time. 💖
Peace and blessings. I love Florabotanica. Its such a beautiful scent. Ive seen many say they were this is Spring and Summer but I find this to be a Fall or Winter scent.
Baiser Vole just made my list. I loved to try that one. I'm also going to check out Scents of Wood. Have you ever smelled Vilhelm Basilico & Fellini? I've only smelled it one time but man, it sticks in my mind. It's a basil, fig, hay, tomato-y thing. Fresh and unique. You have to love fresh basil though. Thanks for the awesome list!
I do love basil in fragrance! I have never sniffed that one but heard about it. Will check it out! And Baiser Vole is worth a sniff if you like fresh green garden scents. 😁💖🥰
Valentino Uomo Noir Absolu, Cartier Pasha Parfum Concentration and Rochas Mustache Eau de Parfum were all hard to find in the USA when I got them but I found small perfume stores in Florida, California and Michigan that had a few bottles. They are all above excellent and the extra effort needed to get them make these three the most prized in my collection. They aren't unusual scents but they are the best versions and best from house. Thank you.
Hi Kelly!! Isn't it wonderful when you find a gem of a store that has so many interesting ones! I tried Mustache and I like it. I can understand why they are prized! 💖💖💖
Florabotanica takes the award for the most unique fragrance in my collection at the moment. It was weirdly satisfying for me 1st time I got my nose on it but I love it🤗🤗
@@VeronicaSays lol, I wouldn’t say love at 1st sniff… it was a peculiar scent that I kept going back to smell (maybe I’m weird🙃) and eventually fell for it😉
This is a fantastic, inspired idea for a video/conversation. I resisted looking at the drop box just so I could enjoy the fresh surprise with each fragrance you showcased ;D. I love searching for the wildest fragrances that don't smell of anything else or which I struggle to try and describe to the average person who is not into perfumery the way we all are in 'frag comm'. The trick is to find something I can actually wear with pride and joy, something addicting and intensely compelling so as to avoid smelling challenging and unpleasantly 'weird' to the uninitiated general pair of virgin nostrils I encounter when out and about. I found 'Who Knew?' and 'Babylon Sunset' by 4160- Tuesday- on my skin-- tips over into the unappealling and strange realm. I love when people push the envelope and deliver something wild, something which almost commands me to do some work and devote some quiet time and mental energy to this completely wonderful new alien composition; It's why I 'went niche'. Fragrance is more to me than just an 'after the shower' personal grooming product or an esoteric fashion accessory (and the same goes, I suspect, for most of the familar names I keep happily recognising in all the comment sections around RU-vid :)). Great video, I always love hearing what you have to say and seeing your latest acquisitions or old favourites revistited.
What a list! 💙. L'eau d'issey EDT is a great special one and I have had bottles & bottles of that stuff! The first "unique" perfume that comes to mind is Krazy Krizia! My mother wore it for years but to my nose it still stands out! In the 90s I also recall owning Revlon Unforgettable. Not sure if you can even find this anymore but certainly a unique gem!! Some other perfumes I would classify as one of a kind include Baiser Vole, Bottega Veneta, Samsara , Calyx, Bvlgari BLV Pour homme, Bvlgari Pour Femme, 24 Fauborg, Maison M Margiela Untitled. Hot Couture truly is unique and I feel like so many other companies attempted to mimic that same smoky sweet vibe that Hot Couture brought to the table!! 😃
Hi Blake! What does Krazy Krizia smell like? I'm not sure I ever heard of that one. I bet you can dig up Unforgettable through a Google search! I have and love Bottega Veneta, I have Samsara,Calyx, and 24 Faubourg - all interesting and unique scents for sure!! Would love to try Untitled. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💖💖💖
So far I prefer the men’s Amouage’s to the woman’s one, I’ve had many samples like yourself and so far I haven’t found a female one I want a full bottle of but I still live in hope! 😀
Yes I would love videos about affordable hidden gems. Those are actually my favorite videos! I would also love to hear about fragrance layering and strange and peculiar fragrances. Lol. Anytime you talk about fragrances is wonderful to me! ❤️
I love Womanity. I do plan on getting several backs. You are right it is very unique. I have to give it to perfumers that can create unique scents. LOVE, LOVE it.
Wow, what a list🤩😍👌. I used to wear the Isley Miyake one back in the day, it was a staple in my collection🤩🤩. Florabotanica is absolutely gorgeous and I don’t have anything like it in my humble collection😍😍. I have samples that I have tested and nope, I’m not that brave😩😩. I also have New Bond Street from Bond no9 which I absolutely love but I can see how other people might be turned off buy it😂😂. I would appreciate whatever content you come up with as you always make your videos so enjoyable to watch👌👌. Stay gorgeous🥰🥰.
Thank you Pinkie! 💖 You are so sweet! 🙏🙏🙏 Issey Miyake is such a powerhouse. I cannot believe Florabotanica intimidates you! 😁 And yet, New Bond Street intimidates ME! 😂
I do have a few Krigler fragrances in my collection that are unique. I’m definitely wanting more unique to my collection fragrances that I will be adding into my collection this year. I’m definitely going to be more selective this year. Smooches Darling
I did know about Casbah, but it's coming home to me soon. I've mentioned this before, but as my mom once said to me "you like to smell like a Russian Orthodox Church during Benediction." And it's no coincidence that one of my favorite paintings is "Smoke of Ambergris" by John Singer Sargent.
Loving the warm look! Blends well with the warm lighting 😉 ok let me watch so funny I just filmed a very inexpensive perfume it’s like nothing I have! Modest Afnan so spicy! Ok ok let me watch I’m rambling 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t think I have a lot of unusual fragrances. I am somehow drawn to the polarizing ones, but then they end up being the ones I don’t like so much. I guess that makes me kind of basic. I do like angel, but I have to be in the mood for it. When I really think about it I’m probably not a good match for niche fragrances. I’m not willing to splurge, and I seem to really like mainstream scents anyway. Your introduction to Amoage is helping bring that revelation to light. 🙂
Stacy, my dear, there is NOTHING wrong with mainstream fragrances! I could live happily ever after with my mainstream ones, no doubt. No need to splurge on expensive and weird-smelling fragrances! 🥰🥰🥰
Hello Veronica, your channel is a hidden gem and for the quality content you deserve a lot more than 4K subscribers, I wish your channel grows steadily, best of luck. Here is a run down of some of my fave scents that I could not find dupes for or anything that is even close to them: Dior Poison, Guerlain Samsara, YSL Opium, Dyptique Phylosikos & L'Ombre Dans L'eau, Memo Sintra, Jo Malone Jade Leaf Tea, Chanel Allure & No. 19 EDP, Xerjoff Oesel from Shooting Stars collection and finally Balenciaga Florabotanica.
Thank you for posting this list and congrats on your 4K woot-wooooooot! My unique fragrance is Interlude woman by amouage. A yuk which turned into love 🤷🏻♀️ nothing in my collection smelled like this. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Basier Vole is stunning. It is one of the only fragrances I’ve finished! I should repurchase. Thank you for the reminder! Beautiful video! And love the red lip! xx, Cameron
I absolutely LOVE “ Cedar in Acacia!” 😍 It has become one of my favorite scents. I also like how you described it! I also pick up a slight fresh fizziness like when you first open up a can of Dr. Pepper! Lol
I love a few of these and have been eyeballing beach hut and shamal.Ive loved every Nobile 1942 I've tried and own 9 different frags from them, Malia is on the way now.Great list!
Melia!!! Malia is on the way to me also!! Did you order from Lucky Scent? I also had five Nobile 1942 new ones arrive earlier in the week. I am still testing them but so far all are pleasant. 💯💖👍
Florabotanica is so unique! Even the bottle says so :D I also find Chloe Nomade line as unique, especially for a designer house fragrance. And I say a loud yes to the affordable hidden gems video! :)
Hi Veronica! Great video.. Sure would love to see affordable gems video and a strange scents video. One of the most unique scents in my collection are cogno scents 19. It is a carrot seed note. Another unique fragrance in my collection is Amouroud White Hinoki. Very ginger based. I haven't tried Womanity yet..but will check it out. 😊
Awesome, thank you! I recorded the video this weekend and will post in a couple of weeks. Did you mean Chanel No 19 or something else? I'd be curious to try White Hinoki! Sounds delightful! 👍👍👍
@@VeronicaSays The brand is Cognoscenti.. I believe it's an Indie Brand not sure. They have numbered fragrances so the one I was referring to was No 19 Warm Carrot. It is very unisex.
My favorite unique fragrance is LUI, smoke, licorice; also SJP Covet; cologne lavender, chocolate, and lemon; also Modern Muse LeRouge Gloss; cherries, and vinyl. That scent took me a while to understand, but it is so good now.
Try DS Durga frags Trio Volta, Mississippi Medicine, El Cosmico to name a few..... Apart from your frag reviews, I mostly enjoy ur presentation including facial impressions. Today I didn't notice much of ur eye dance but was okay and less energy too... KEEM THEM COMING VERONICA
Hi there! I have tried a few from DS & Durga. Unique, although overall more masculine than I care to wear. Perhaps on my husband they might work. 👍👍👍 Thanks for watching my late night sleepy filming. 😜
I love this topic! The fragrance that comes to mind for me is Balenciaga L'essence because of the violet leaf note that I cannot find anywhere else..I've maniacally chased other fragrances that "smell like" to some on fragrantica but definitely don't to my nose. It's discontinued and people are charging some insane amounts for what's left to buy. I've also been diving into some Bvlgari's recently and I'm discovering some hidden gems! An elusive note I would love to find in more feminine fragrances is cardamom. Just got a 10 ml of BDK Gris Charnel and the cardamom is to die for! I will definitely be picking up a couple from your list because one of a kinds are AWESOME! Thank you!!
Hey Heather! Have you tried Santal Kardamon from Lancome? Or Chinatown by Bond No 9? Both have wonderful cardamom in them. I will let you know if I find the Balenciaga one at a reasonable price. Sellers get crazy when the demand is high - prices go bananas. 🤦♀️
Hi Veronica! WHat a lineup there!😌 Casbah is a classic - also a favorite of my Aunt's! I think this is a great topic! There are just so many one-of-a-kinds out there!
I loved this video and your selection is excellent. Some unique fragrances for me are Siberian Rose by Fragrance du Bois, Chai by Robert Piguet, Innuendo by Roja Dove, Danger by Roja Dove, Aurelien by Carine Roitfeld, Eden by Cacharel.
Hi Christina, of the ones you mentioned I have a bottle of Eden - unique indeed! Perhaps a big weird for me so it didn't make it into this video but it's one of a kind for sure! Thanks for watching! 💖💖💖
Oh wow, such amazing descriptions of these! The one for Beach Hut has my curiosity peaked now! I too find Womanity wearable, for me mostly in the cooler months. I have had a few samples that I’ve worn, haven’t bought a full bottle yet. I’d have to say some of the ones that I’ve come across would be from L’ Artisan. They make some really unique fragrances too. I tried samples of Dzing, and Bois Farine. I had samples of them and really liked them! Dzing was to me like being at a Circus or a fair with the smell of sweets, salty snacks, animals and hay.😂 Strange but I found it really pleasant, and quite comforting! Bois Farine I got the flour and doughy smell, like being at a bakery where they are preparing to make bread. I enjoyed that one too! Both I’m pretty sure have been discontinued. Might still be able to get samples though at lucky scent. I like the Demeter scents too! I have several of them and some that I’m interested in getting to layer with other fragrances. Cinnamon toast smells more like walking into Hobby Lobby, especially in the fall! Not really like toast, but not bad. I use that one more as a bathroom spray lol! The rest I have are very wearable. I’m always down for different too! Thank you for sharing these. Looking forward to another hidden gem one. Love the makeup and hair😍! You look gorgeous as always! Hope everyone is having a great week!🥰💖
Thank you soooo much Winnie! 💖 Your description of Dzing sounds fascinating! I think I tried it a long time ago but cannot remember to be honest. I love Demeter overall - what a wide variety of options. Thunderstorm and Wet Garden are awesome as well as Nitro Coffee and I would love more from the house. Thanks so much for watching! 🥰🥰🥰
