This Rare Grinder has been sat in my shed for the past two years waiting for its moment in the spotlight, I have walked past it many times but I have always been put off by the weld repairs which needed doing, I have very little experience welding any metal let alone cast.
I finally decided to take the plunge and see how it would turn out, It has taken approx 6 weeks to complete from start to finish and Im sure you will agree it cleaned up very nicely and now has a new lease of life.
I have tried to use some different techniques this time such as making my own screws and rebuilding missing parts with Weld material, This was an enjoyable part of this Unique Restoration process as I had never done this before. However it does need a little more work which hopefully will improve in my next video. I would like to ask you at this point if you have any information to share regarding this Rare Grinder, I have searched the internet but cannot seem to find many photos or much about the company which made it. The Description on the name plate is Flam De'posee. I hope you enjoyed this short video and I would appreciate it if you could leave a like and a comment

That paint job is over the top beautiful. It’s so rich and deep, it looks like super-even japanning. Nice!

Thanks Taytase, I am very happy with the way it turned out and I agree it does look like Japanning. I'm working on my next project now which has Japanning and should be ready in a couple of weeks. Regards Brian

Thanks John, the hammer looks worse than it is. The rust look is actually a sticker peeling off the shaft. My next vid is out next week. Thanks for watching. Regards Brian

All these hours of sanding by hand certainly paid off, the paint job is exceptional, I'd never think it's spray paint if I was shown it without any context. Great job, this grinder looks fantastic, although I'm not a huge fan of the hand-cranked ones, I totally appreciate the beauty of this one.

Шариков то не хватает и много, в одну сторону скатятся . Уже видно, что валик криво встал.

That’s a superb job, I so love the paint job, it looks like it’s been powder coated. It’s too good to use, it should be a display piece

Hi Woko Hedgehogs, there was alot of hours prepping to get that finish and it's nice to have good comments about it. This piece is currently an ornament on my kitchen window sill, it will never be used. Once my new workshop is built most of my pieces will be displayed. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Regards Brian

@@UniqueRestorations you’re absolutely welcome, you made a cracking job of that welding as well, especially as it’s the first time you’d done it.
