The only thing I hate about the Sturdy is that I can’t afford it! This is what functional art looks like! You have the best custom bike channel on you tube. Every project bike you have is something I want for myself. Every part is well thought out and custom for looks, weight, and functionality
If you like titanium so much, you should try the keego bottles, which have a titanium coating on the inside are super light and are even available with fidlock mounts
Hi, well done. I'm using a bottle cage adaptor, which gives you the opportunity to put two bottle cages on one set of holes and the frame bag is located in a middle. 1L bottles fit perfectly well. So, together with the seat tube bottle I can carry three bottles instead of two.
Been looking at some Light bicycle wheels for some time now, and it looks like they will be the next present for my Jamis Renegade. Superb build like always 👏🏻😃
I like the hackery with the bottlecage we need to move away from buying all the perfect stuff just make your shit yourself like who really cares if thats a bend bottlecage it looks really nice and even if it wouldnt look good if it works it works and you dont spend a ton of money so we can get more people into bikepacking cuz I mean it´s fun but also hella expensive compared to similar outdoor hobbies I mean look at hiking/backpacking it´s way cheaper at least if you go somwhere were you can camp outside and don´t have to stay in little very expensive shelters like in the alps even tho it´s really beautiful.
Thank you for sharing all of your ideas. Which Profile Design bar are you using? Their USA site doesn’t have one with the same adjustability. It looks like they discontinued that model. Also, do the aero bars interfere with your hand placement on the top of the handle bar? Having flip up pads would be nice. Thank you!
My thoughts : Nice bike :-) and nice set up. Do I care about frame rub on 'naked' Ti frames, nope but essential to prevent on carbon etc. But yes strapless looks nice. Taking the seat bag off your adapter to seat post looks ... not that straight forward. The aero bars need more tinkering or changing on this kind of bike. I like the look of the Blips but personally not converted to e-shifting. 3D printed saddles : hard to get dirt/mud out of the weave, not my choice. I would put some tools in bar end's. Apidura makes great stuff. You are creating good content and ICE cars and scooters suck and we are going to end up like the dinosaurs the way it's going.
@@BerudPL well, the holes won’t be waterproof obviously, but they will be squeezed between the washers. Used them on several rides under the rain with no issues
Nice build - what torque did you do up your saddle mount bolt to? I just bought a Bjorn saddle off your recommendation and I have a similar single bolt mount but am struggling with creaking. Thanks!
If you are a smaller rider and you have problems with your handlebar bag rubbing on your front wheel for me it worked really well that I put clip on aero bars on my bike and then an additional strap on there to support the handle bar bag no rubbing or anything also barley any extra weight or cost (if you like me cant and don´t want to buy a front rack) just be carefull with cheap velcro straps they can work well and create a lot of tension but they also can snap I found out about that while I was cycling to the north cape. Anyhow cool build but I think it wouldn´t be anything for me it´s just way to expensive and when I´m bikepacking my bike gets messy anyways so the strapless look dosent really help I guess.
I did use this method until the loop on my handlebar bag fell off on the 3rd day of offroad bikepacking as it wasn’t designed for such loads. Plus you don’t always have aerobars. Might be fine for road use though.
@@TwistedWheels was definitly fine for road use I put some extra loops on my bag just to secure the extra strap. Like with some paracord I used a existing loop and well put paracord on there to make it bigger and then added a strap works well for me but thats also a ortlieb handlebar bag maybe the apidura ones are different. I guess just use whatever works for you. But yeah if you don´t want the aerobars that´s a big downside but I pretty much use them all the time so yeah well and as s student saving a buck is always good xD.
Wow. Beautiful. Amazing. I am speechless. Also you can buy a new Mercedes Sprinter for the price of this setup I guess. JK lol ps: I can't even afford to built MTB hardtail with cheap Aliexpress components :/
Отличный байк, произведение искусства Жаль Тритон покинул наши пенаты, на их базе можно было придумать нечто подобное Благо шатуны Ракета до сих пор доступны у нас, и можно собрать уникальный байк
@@vadlme sorry, they were a kind of Frankenstein of an old profile design aerobars that I bought on ebay, ultimate use extension (also from Ebay) and Leap components 3D printed mounts for wireless blips which I linked by providing guys’ Instagram account.
this is something i've wanted for a long time on my carbon frame... i don't understand why under top tube mounts are not a thing for frames marketed for gravel bikepacking
I wouldnt trust that saddle bag 1 mile. i got a topeak saddle bag support that attaches to the saddle and adds 2 bottle cages. maybe not ideal for carbon rails, but on my steel rail saddle its a blessing.
@@TwistedWheels i would trust the saddle bag, but not that saddle bag mounted on a bottle cage. Even with titanium bolts on turning tubing. The forces on these bolts shouldn't be underestimated
I do hope you are teaching your son to speak russian ,great to be multilingual.we English are very poor with other languages. Great video looking forward to the T line content .bet you get it to 5,5 kgs 😂
