Reason: Knitting require two sticks Crocheting can be done with your hook and even hands! But knitting can’t do that Hope it helped whoever is reading this to understand what crochet and knitting is!😊
Just so everyone knows, although these blankets are pretty, They can be very difficult to wash when the wool isn’t tightly wrapped like a normal piece of yarn. Usually people buy the wool like this to create the yarn themselves.. Untwisted wool blankets like this are mainly an aesthetic piece. And can easily pick up dust and dirt when untwisted.
Yes! You cant have this is a household with pets, it needs to be kept perfectly clean, and if washed will shed. I recommend tightly wrapped yarns, either acrylic or wool if you are willing to spend the extra. There are also lots of youtube tutorials if you are not in paris. Happy making!
She said it costed her 70 euros (was the food included on the 70 euros?). In Spain, for that price people can buy 1 nordic blanket, or, 1-3 packs of normal blankets.
She didn't say it was supposed to be cheap, did she? If you're going to be scrimping on your trip to Paris, maybe don't go to one of the most expensive cities in Europe 💀
guys- i’m aware no matter what there’s always people whining about price- but this is actually a great deal for value. yarn isn’t cheap!!! especially this type of yarn seen in the video! it’ll run you about 20 for skein like that- and for that size blanket she used 4. that’s already 80 dollars. then you need to learn the skill, without an instructor there with you, it’ll take you way way longer than doing it in this environment where you have assistance for any mess up (which you’ll have plenty), someone is there with you to help with your exact issue. which you won’t get by yourself. THEN you get a nice space to do it all in, which costs money, then the snacks!! 70 euros is a great and typical price for this semi luxurious experience.
Girl interesting 🤔 you should show us all the interesting arts, crafts you had made so far, that would be awesome. ❤ how much collection you have you made.
it’s not just a blanket. you’re paying for the space, snacks, lesson, and yarn. basically an experience. first of all, without an instructor you’ll need to learn to crochet then knit- which will take you hours without help. THEN you need to pay for the yarn, which ISNT CHEAP. especially the yarn they’re using. it’ll run you 20 dollars a skein. she used 4. so that’s 80 dollars. if you want to learn it in an hour, you’ll need an instructor which will cost you around 14 - 30 an hour depending on location.
Oh my God I always wanted to go to Paris so you’re giving me such good ideas and places to go to LMN Paris I liked all the videos about Paris. I’m about to go to Paris and do all of those fun activities.
When you said you have to pay extra if you want to make it bigger but also after you go out of the workshop you can go to a store and buy yarn and continue your blanket it’s more cheap like that
As a crocheter im crying reading these comments lol. You can tell its knitting because you can see the vs, well in crochet you usually dont see vs like that
Seriously it is not crochet, where are you guys coming from? Only the first row is crochet (chain stitches) the rest is plain ass vanilla knitting just without the needles, the stitches are laying there loose on the table. It is very clear from the result that it is just knit stitches (but since she goes right to left/left to right on every other row she gets the same result as kitting one row and purling the next). If it was crochet it wouldn't have the classic braid-like result, instead it would look like the surface of an amigurumi, and if it was Tunisian crochet (my current choice of stitch) she would get the distinctive vertical stripes of Tunisian crochet. I'm baffled by this comment section, how can you not see the difference?
@@random_froggWhat you are describing is the Tunisian knit stitch. The result does indeed resemble knitting, but this is not what she is doing here. You can see that while knitting she has loose stitches along the whole upper edge of her work, during regular knitting these would be held on the needles but here they just lie on the table. She has them both on the right and left side of where she is currently working. If she was doing Tunisian crochet she would only ever have them on one side of where she was working, creating stitches along the row in one direction and then going back on the row finishing them all before starting over. During knitting you only finish the stitches at the last row, which is what she does here. It is just regular knitting.
Im jealousssss in making a blanket using a really small size yarn bc here one ball of yarn of that size is around 4 -10 dollars 💵 but the small yarn only cost 80 cents - 1 dollar
