We'll see it's not issue to the OverWatch so why would the OverWatch HUD have any more information about it since theoretically the soldiers won't ever pick one up.
@@tauon_ probably used frequently enough by the rebels to make an entry. That, or the user, assuming they have their faculties, can adjust the descriptions from standard as they like.
When the main character already has a registered character, all that remains for us, the immersive players, is to press the buttons so that it suits the situation :D
Relationship between the bad cop and Wilson is wonderful. The more you progress into the game the more he starts liking him and their friendship grows stronger. Because how well the voice acting is, it is insulting to call this a mod. This is the best thing that happened in 2022 for gaming
@@unamelable256 one more fact: when u leave Wilson for some time and comeback, Wilson says: oh there you are (and another lines), but Bad Cop will be silent. After most part of the game, Bad Cop will be saying "Hi" to Wilson after comeback. Top 10/wholesome moments
Does he even have eyes anymore. His eyeballs must have been replaced with more advanced visual sensors or something like that because the Elite only has 1 hole (in the middle of the face) for seeing
Wilson is essentially a perfected gnome achievement. Whereas the original was an extra fun achievement you could do that was clearly added on as an afterthought and had little to no implementation gameplay-wise, Wilson had a good portion of the game designed to accommodate holding him. He has actual utility with the wilson doors, can be attached to vehicles meaning the vehicle sections are significantly more bearable, doesn't die easily, can be left aside for parts of the game that require your full attention, has his own tracking system and provides interesting dialogue and character interactions so that you have an incentive to carry him around. The only thing that would make wilson more convenient was if he could fire bullets.
@@flyingpiggles1034 It's a difficult line to walk. If there's no hassle carrying Wilson around, there's no reason to leave him behind... but you don't want to make it actively ANNOYING to transport him. I'm very impressed with how EZ2 managed it! It's still a little frustrating how he gets caught on scenery and the environment, though. That's just a general Source / HL2 thing, though, getting caught on props & NPCs, so EZ2 doesn't lose points for continuing the grand series tradition. At least 3650 has a Mighty Boot to quickly clear props, instead of needing to switch to a Gravity Gun or crowbar. In another engine or a different implementation, maybe "picking up" Wilson would equip him like a weapon, and switching away would drop him. That's how CTF flags work in Halo, IIRC.
@@RaiderReid ikr although canon wise there are still some parts where it dosent really tie in the canon but majority of it is definitely my headcanon now like the assault im not gonna say what cause its spoilers
In the scene when he retrieves his clones gun, if you bring wilson close enough, he will point out that he's calling himself an idiot, just tells him to shut up
Definitely one of the best games I've played. The story, characters, music, gameplay, everything is spot on. It's an insult to call this masterpiece a mod. I hope Breadman and everyone involved will continue to deliver such quality in future projects.
@@nullFahrenheit to be fair 36 feel kinda like a pet project for this specific advisor. like it was a test to see how a combine elite/soldier would function if allowed to keep their free will and memories but they obviously had second thoughts on that once 36 found out the combine would never help him or at least the idea they might not have his best interests in mind was put into his head by his clone, probably why the advisor immediately killed clone cop before he could speak anything else and immediately trys to memory wipe 36
i loved the one where 3650 calmly asks "any judith mossman in here?" and the guy inside yells "no!" and he just thanks him for his cooperation best moment ever XD
I just love how 36’s various conversations with Wilson subtly imply that all of his one-liners and general attitude towards killing rebels are a way for him to disassociate with what he’s doing, and to get revenge for everything the world did to him, pre-combine. I wish they’d made that more obvious, for all the people who think this game is just stupid references and nothing else.
6:24 This line occurred while I was clearing some tripmines so in that context it made it seem like Wilson burped so loudly that he caused an explosion
Game of the year. About best random dialogue I had, it was when I put a soldier in front of the door and opened it, and behind it was the turret. After the soldier died, Wilson said, "These guys don't live long, do they?" and the Bad Cop replied, "Yeap." The pinnacle of comedy.
My favorite joke in the whole game is the "my leg!" Thing, because at the start you can't feel your legs, much later you can feel your legs again, then much later again I heard Aiden go "My leg!" And I just burst out laughing (Edit: I only later realized while watching a stream that the "my leg" line is not contextual, which only made my experience more miraculous)
You could say it's also a reference to the Rebels as they often say that when they get shot. Similarly there's also a rebel line "We're all just targets to them now." and 3650 has his own "You're all just targets to me now!"
Something I found out was that badcop's reactions to Wilson dying changes throughout the game. For example, earlier in the game he might say something like "oh no! Anyway.." but later on he actually cares about Wilson and often swears if he dies
Some entropy zero 2 developer: how much memes we need? Breadman: yes But seriously, this game is a masterpiece, and if you try to say it's bad, your opinion doesn't count.
We need more games where you play the bad guy, and I'm not talking you being the boss or some badass but just the goon who follows orders and watches shit go down whenever the good guys get involved. I would love to see moments where the bad guys react to the main protagonist pulling off something bullshit and them going "HOW!?"
I think that contrary to what the game/mod would have us believe, 3650 isn't really a heartless and totally inhuman villain, he's just someone who never had a chance in life before, pretty much everyone rejected him and put him down, until the Combine came to earth and offered him a job in its police then its armed force . It allowed him to move on and finding a better value in his life, while at the same time finding an excuse to attack so-called human beings (because he's lost faith in humanity before at this point). in the end he's just a modest person who's not a true bastard, who's just following requests and who doesn't really have any morals, except one which is fairly neutral. which makes him a rather endearing character.
don't forget: "GOD DAMNIT! WHY DID THEY HAVE TO MAKE THE SUIT WHITE!?" (When you get shot) "WRBLLBLBLBRR! No. No that does not charge my suit." (When you get electrocuted) "AAAAAAH! yep. Fire still hurts." (When you get burned) and "Now who's bringing irony to the firefight!?" (when you kill a rebel with the crossbow)
Phenomenal mod that deserves every ounce of credit. 3:55 has got to be some of the deepest lines from 3650 for me in my opinion followed up by Wilson with the comic relief.
he's really well written, imho. All the memes and pop culture references are like his way of dissociating. Deep down, he knows he's working for the bad guys, and is a bad guy himself, thus why the other clone has gone rogue, the rogue clone realized the combine weren't just the bad guys, they were using everyone, far before 3650 realizes it. He just wants to get his perk up until the very end, where he ends up (spoilers) absolutely whooping an advisor's ass and going on a joyride on the Borealis.
In the level transition chamber at the end of the gonome chase where 3650 complains that wilson is hard to carry, before the transition there is a poster on the wall that says "this worksite has gone 52 days without a transition. after the transition it changes to 0. also, at the end of the massive test chamber before said chase, there is a poster that say "Absolutely NO level transitions under ANY circumstance".
It is one of the few mods that can say that they are a true third part of the original saga. It's a "Mod" with independent game shirts and more than a "Mod" it's a love note for lovers From the saga
Most games when you get healed: ahhhhh, thats better Entropy zero 2: I feel ... renewed, restored ... *a new found sense of murderous intent fills me!*
Something about the dialogue in this game reminds me so much of Freeman's Mind, or maybe Civil Protection. Bad Cop definitely seems like a character Ross Scott would've voiced, he must've been a big influence on the writers.
Because of how tightly this game runs with the official canon of half life, without retconning canon events. I'm hard pressed to say this game has about as much canon relevance as Opposing Force and Blue Shift from Gearbox.
There is a line when wilson is broke, and you go to the Platform of Arbiet 2, if you move Wilson to a window it will broke, and Wilson will say:" I think It's not my fault " and Bad cop, smile the first, and only time for his friend.it's the time we know, humanity come back to him
Honestly even though they probably just included the Gonome cause they like Opposing Force it somehow makes sense given the accepted theory on why they weren’t in raven home. EZ takes place in North America where they are *Xen Headcrabs*. These are a unaltered population of headcrabs that either the Nihilanth took with him or ended up thriving on Xen. These function 100% how they would in the wild. Even though the Arctic is far from Arizona, its also pretty far from where any remaining city would be so it makes sense how they got there. Half Life 2 takes place in East Europe where they are *Combine Headcrabs.* these are headcrabs who have been altered slightly so they do not mutate into other forms, therefore making dealing with them easy should they backfire as weapons. Since this very close to a major city and an ocean away from Arizona, it makes sense why only the weaponized headcrabs would be present.
I wasn't expecting this game to kick so much ass. I am so glad I knew nothing going into it, only played the first and went straight to the second. SO glad I kept Wilson with me, and AMAZED it was an option and even paid off with loads of story and more.
I think I know why 36 is such an enjoyable protagonist despite the fact that he’s a prick: most of the combine have been very hollow and lifeless except for the metro cops, but even then, they were just your standard authority figures on a power trip. 36 is the first time we step into the shoes of the combine and he has a legit personality that’s fun and engaging along with his own motivations for why he serves the combine. You can see just how different he is when he’s joking about not going into the bathroom but the other soldiers just mechanically say “move in.” Just hearing him morbidly joke as he either slaughters rebels or gets injured is really entertaining and it’s genuinely nice to see his more human side come out when he becomes closer with Wilson, even if in E2 he’s just a copy of the original. Idc if this technically isn’t canon; it’s canon in my books and a decent substitute for Half Life 3.
Wilson and Bad Cop are a modern Laurel and Hardy. I love their friendship. I haven’t been this moved by a friendship since Harry and Kim in Disco Elysium
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE A STORABLE WILSON MOD OR A BACKPACK WILSON MOD SO YOU CAN HAVE THE FUN DIALOGUE WHILE NOT HAVING TO CARRY HIS HEAVY ASS EVERYWHERE!!!
I do like seeing his friendly face when carrying him around, but I hate when the physics engine makes him jiggle and get stuck in the floor/walls. Especially when speed is critical.
I dont know the lore behind Entropy, all I know is that Elite Combine is completely stripped of their humanity. So an Elite Combine retaining his humanity and personality is entertaining to me. I need to play this mod
This game deserves the Black Mesa treatment. It's perfectly fine to take money for such a high-quality product. It is truly deserved. I would absolutely pay for it.
