When they European leaders met during their 1884 conference of the division of Africa they did Not insist that they give up their national or cultural or religious identities and become one or speak one language only. Germany remained Germany and continued til this day speaking their language of choice. France remained France and continued speaking French. England has remained England and continued speaking English. So did Italy and Portugal and every other country. None of them gave up their identity to achieve their goal. Yet they were able to see the bigger picture and was able to put their differences aside in order to achieve something that would benefit them all. At some point we as a African people are going to have to do the same, regardless of our differences. Learn to make those differences work for us and not against us. As Salaam Alaikum!

I don't agree with him that Africa is not ready to 'industrialize' because we have no 'capital' and we have no 'infrastructure' ... We began to industrialize in the 1960s, we began to build infrastructure at the same time and space but the independence parties were taken out and replaced with political parties that swallowed the bait of the so-called 'Washington Consensus' hook, line and sinker! And we de-industrialized! Poverty, unemployment and inequality increased exponentially

Africa has to make radical decisions. UN is has failed to bring peace and security and also ensure human rights. This mainly most decisions in the UN is to keep the interests of the developed countries as the system is designed to be dominated by developed countries as is the case of the Security Council which is controlled by five powerful countries and can veto all decisions which are not in their interests. Unless and until the UN is reformed and Africa, Asia etc are included and decisions in the security council is made on majority not on on veto system.

Im really glad that people are starting to seriously speak on this. As an American, I'm saddened by how unknowledgable AA's are here about their people and history in general. Even the desire to learn is negligible overall. Truth is no black people should be proud of being called a muslim or a christian, in the way a european would be called the same. Those religions came from African principles, and were minipulated and twisted against black people. Believe in the creator, go back to our roots, don't believe in the god of these white people.
