I miss this show so much! Wish it was made later on when the world was ready for it.. I wanted so much more! This show was underrated & brilliant

Discovered this show last week, and I am two episodes away from the series finale. I also found out season three was the final season. What the serious fuck?! I want more Tara and fam! Fuck, I love this show. So many funny moments, touching moments, horrible moments and plain painful stuff. Love this show.

one night i heard about this show on a documentary. next week, i bought the entire first season. week after that, watched all three seasons and mourned for it.

This show is amazing...it had a very profound impact on my life.

Toni Collette is a fantastic actress, she murders every role on this show. I don't think the Oscars give awards to TV actresses though haha, she did win the Emmy and the Golden Globe.

Omg the thumbnail on this video looks like the meme of the dog laughing at an unfunny joke 😂 But regardless, we miss this show so much and we hope it gets brought back someday! 😭😭

@Apo023 No I haven't, I'm just basing my remarks on the way this video portrays DID in the show. It looks like a comedy to me. The way they have her spinning around on the merry-go-round in her different characters sure looks like it's all done in jest. Am I wrong?

I just assumed it was another Desperate Housewives type of show. I do read POM but must have missed that article (the one about this show). Thanks 4 link. So I guess we have MK portrayed here as mere DID - a natural, wholesome, 'fun' condition. (no disrespect meant to people with DID). IOW don't look any further....

Ugh currently watching this. Im sorry but her husband is the freaking villian in this show. Oh. My. Gosh. Love the show, love the cast, but not sure why these writers are not implementing clinical therapy into the plot. Theyre making Max look like some lovestruck doormat hubby who bends over for his wife & lets her run amuck with all those alters. Like wtf lol. Something has got to give. As fun as it is, Its making the show look weak. Which isnt fair bc youve got some top tier like TOP TIER actors in this show.

in a series is usually shocking find out that a character is gay but with us of Tara is shocking to find out that a character is straight

A comedy about the child-porn ring? Maybe we can get superstar Dakota Fanning to play the child sex abuse victim, then we can laugh and laugh and laugh! Or better yet, let's make up a sit-com about the Holocaust and have all the characters sitting around sipping tea and playing gin rummy.

@Apo023 Well I guess that's one way of looking at it. I have studied DID a little bit and personally don't see it as a misfortune to be laughed at. People who have this mental illness get it as the result of the mind fracturing into different alters as the result of unbelievable abuse perpetrated upon them by others. It is not an affliction one is born with. To make fun, even sympathetically, of someone who has been through something like that is completely inappropriate imo.

Currently re-watching "Tara" again for probably the sixth or seventh time and seriously... this show really should make a comeback. It was ahead of its time, and so darned good. I'm willing to bet if they brought it back with new episodes as a streaming title on Netflix or Hulu, and gave it a decent push, it might finally find the audience it couldn't back in the day on Showtime. It came out right before premium channel series and streaming platforms became huge, and it got left in the dust as a result... it deserves another chance now that these types of unique shows get more attention and can thrive online.
