The United States is poised to provide the Philippines with $500 million in military aid.
This significant announcement came from US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a two-plus-two ministerial meeting with their Filipino counterparts, Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro and Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo.

*MILITARY AID* often means most of it will be in actual equipments with minimal cash with it. Look at Ukraine Military Aid.

The US doesn't just give away money. Rather, they give those countries credit to purchase US arms and/or provide secondhand equipment. So, don't think that money can be used for corruption.

The 500 million dollars from US taxpayers will be used to buy military hardware from manufacturers in US. Some of that money will go back to the government from the companies and their employees when they pay their income taxes. Only the manufactured weapons are delivered to the Philippines. Also, military weapons produced in US are expensive!
