Also don’t forget about TEF Relicanth! If you get that out, you can have the option of either of Decidueye’s attacks or United Wings AND you get the 150 HP of Decidueye instead of Dartrix’s 90 which prevents Amp You Very Much.

i have been wanting Creatures to print a fourth United Wings attacker for so long and they finally delivered, i'm so happy. btw, as for ways to discard your United Wings guys, there's currently a ton of ways to do so (Carmine, Ultra Ball, Squawkabilly, PokeStop, the Secret Box ACE SPEC, or even Kirlia if you're feeling it), so there's a lot of ways to rack up big damage quickly.

So i love that dartrix is being printed, but honestly... Creatures is starting to annoy the piss out of me. Why even print this card if youre gonna print a card like Dragapult? Like i dont understand their logic or how they determine what gets printed when. Theres always something that just gatekeeps single prize decks and im so tired off it man. Wish they'd give grass types and single prizers more and just print less stuff that gatekeeps or less fluff for either. Like we always get HORRENDOUS grass support. Why even print it? Super stupid tbh.

Gardenia's Vigor was/is such a disappointing card. Dragapult EX being a major improvement over Dragapult VMax seems like a bad situation for the game. Scoop Up Cyclone is the most toxic card in the deck though, IMO.

Pretty sure they just don't care. They put thought into 10 cards max so the game doesnt implode, but then they dont do anything else because the card arts sell every set. They sacrifice the game for glorified NFT's

A big part of what made Night March work so well back in the day was the existence of Battle Compressor. An item that takes three cards from your deck and chucks them into the discard. Instant power up. Super consistent. Trying to emulate the same effect with the discard effects we currently have is going to be infinitely less reliable and lead to a lot of games where you just can’t get the deck running. Plus, Pokémon have much more HP than they did back when Night March was running around. That’s going to further reduce their effectiveness. This isn’t to say that these limitations aren’t good for the game overall. Night March and later Vespequeen/Flareon revenge decks were very powerful during their respective eras. Game Freak might just be a little more cautious about a deck like that taking over the metagame again.

as someone that played united wings in some cups and at some side events in regionals some odd formats ago i can say that our search and discard options are suprisingly formidable the flamigo searching 3 others and the new ace spec searching 3 dartrix superpall and hyperball and discard options like resaerch trekking shoes ultra ball vessel and pokestop could make the deck surprisingly consistent. Back in the day hitting for 220 turn two going second was surprisingly possible but back then we had level ball so maybe that hampers the playability

Although bird will help the United Wings, it's just too late to prove it's worth. Dartrix's addition would push the dmg output to 320. Altho you need 16 to KO a Dragapult ex. But, Dragapult can just pinch dmg a bench Johto bird. Ditto is the common pick for this deck, yet some decks like Gardevoir or Ancient Box has Flutter Mane can just turn off the abilities straight away. Also, it ain't easy to get a standard 240 in 1 turn.

FINALLY! As someone who has been very stubbornly playing United Wings, this is great news! Earthen Vessel could discard a bird and get two grass energy for Decidueye, but it might be too clunky.

I think Ancient box does the "damage for each card in the discard" archetype better. More damage, more HP, relevant supportors that help mill your own deck ect. This is just ridiculous!

you can still use explorer's guidance on united wings deck if you want, and united wings use only 1 energy, and with kilowattrel you can bench snipe little pokémons, i think both decks have thier strength

@@Scoitol there are no trainer cards that increase the damage United Wings does. Ancient box has two supporters, one that accelerates energy and draws 3 and one that mills other ancient cards while drawing 2. An item card that grabs energy while also allowing you to discard an ancient card stuck in your hand. A tool card that buffs the HP of your attackers. Lastly it has an Ace spec that draws cards. All those cards are excellent to play AND they increase your damage! United Wings does not even come close!

Maybe you run a 2-4-2 count of the Decidueye line. 4 Dartrix for obvious reasons but you could use one of the new Decidueye and one Hisuian Decidueye for another versatile attacker while also hitting another weakness.

They finally did it!! The Fourth UW Attacker is here. Very happy to see this will be rebuilding UW Turbo for sure. Kinda want a 5th UW but I waited so long for the 4th one. I played Mad Party so this makes me happy.

I agree..due to the power creep 16 shoulda been bare minimum and on par with mad party hitting 320+..make it 20 and its tier 1 at 400+ with ditto and damage modifiers..kinda op but I say + noibat 😂

Why couldn't they just print the united wings on rowlett and call it a day? Lol At this point, most people will run a 2-4 line of Rowlett and Dartrix in United Wings. You only need dark and double turbo energy still, thankfully. Dartrix attacks for 1 colorless. Ancient box is still better, and dragapult will gatekeep singke prize decks for a long time, sadly
