He forgot the loophole of if a Palawan defeats a sith he automatically becomes a knight. Obi wan didn't have to take the trials. It was an old law and obi wan was the first to become a knight that way in 1000 years.
There were many Jedi masters who weren’t on the council, qui gon, luminara, I don’t think dooku was ever on the council but I’m pretty sure he was a master. The rank of master and the Jedi council were two completely different things, but generally Jedi on the council were masters.
Incorrect. By the time of the clone wars being a master was definitely synonymous with being on the council. It was strange for Qui gon to not be on the council.
There were over 10,000 knight or higher ranks on the front lines as generals, however the total population of the order was over 100,000 from younglings to masters, as there were 3 categories of knight who were only lightly trained for combat as a last resort, and were permanently stationed at the main temple or smaller outposts conducting a wide variety of research
Fun Fact: Mandalorians kept losing to the Jedi and got brainwashed to be a slave army by them. Not entirely sure when their perception of "cool badasses" started...
@@subira8518 Tales of the Jedi and KoTOR. The Mandos are cool, basically written as space knights riding big war droids called Basilisk to battle, but always ending as literal morons who always sided with the Sith even after been abandoned by them to their fate whenever the wars with the Jedi started to go bad.
Also if possible, can you clarify whether you used Canon or Expanded Universes, because the Expanded Universe has much more information on the ancient Jedi's origins and activities before the Clone Wars, as well as more information after the Clone Wars, and also during the Clone Wars For example, in EU the Jedi were formed after a civil war among a precursor group known as the Jedai'i who focused on a balance between the Light and the Dark sides of the Force. The Jedai'i were based on Tython and members who failed to keep the balance were sent to one of the two moons of Tython to find their balance, the moon of Ashla or Bogan. Eventually the followers of Ashla and the followers of Bogan clashed (ie the people who were exiled to each moon) resulting in the end of the Jedai'i, the destruction of the Followers of Bogan and the creation of the Jedi Order. Also Tython became uninhabitable due to force storms
I absolutely LOVED this video! Hope you Keep doing more Star Wars and also Warhammer content soo. Just one thing, 5:25 isn't this the later version of the Jedi code? Wasn't the earlier version different? In my opnion a better one actually
How about doing a complete overview of the units of starwars for the clones going over their clone commander, jedi general(s), and noteworthy engagements along with descriptions of the unit, their amour, etc etc
In the esoteric world of galactic history, Star Wars is an allegory of the Orion Wars between the Nebu (Orion greys) and the Black League (rebel humans) that occurred millions of years ago. It’s the classic battle between Light and Dark.
There were more than 12 jedi masters. Only 12 sat on the council yes but there were other masters that didn’t. A primary example of this is Master Qui Gon Jinn. He was a master. Not saying that masters aren’t rare, but there were more than 12, they just didn’t sit on the council.
Love your guys videos, since you guys did a video of the Jedi and the Republic can you do a video about the Sith order and the difference empires they control
This is the perfect kind of video for so many of us Star Wars fans, or even history buffs. I would love to see a video covering the Sith or the clone units like commandos and more. Amazing video!! On the topic of Clones what about a video about the troops of the Old Republic?
Funny how canon changed through time. The bleeding of the kyber crystal wasn't canon in the very beginning of the Star Wars movies since the 70s. The red crystal was part of the Sith training because it was made; synthetic. That idea of bleeding the crystal to change the color came later in the 90s and became canon in a way to explain the other colors.
I would not say the Jedi were the most effective units in the Clone Wars, most Jedi were pretty bad, Jedi like Anakin or Obi-wan were exceptions and were among the best in the Order. Most Jedi at the time practiced Niman, one of the least effective lightsaber forms and also the easiest to learn and were generally less good in combat compared to Jedi from before the extinction of the Sith at the end of the New Sith Wars.
Lmao if you're gonna do Star Wars, you should do Mandalorians. But Expanded Universe Mandalorians. Their history and culture goes MUCH more in depth in pre Disney days. Karen Traviss books, KOTOR and SWTOR games and comics, Jango Fett comics, Boba Fett books and comics, all stuff like that.
storm troopers or clone army works. when I first started watching star wars with my son he was shocked to see the stormtroopers being slaughtered, we have a small army of stormtroopers/ clone troopers.which were always the good guys in our scenarios.
As far as I know they just become (or better stay) vaders „personal“ troops. Obviously they get changed out for „normal“ storm troopers and in episode 5 they storm the echo base i think. But not 100% sure about that. I also guess there is way more lore about them but thats something you can see in the movies
@@thehydro2767 I'm not sure if Disney changed this piece of canon, but the 501st originally were the ones who boarded the Tantive IV, stormed Echo Base and fought on Endor.
you should really be more careful with symbology and the vehicles for these videos... Revan's sith empire had a very distinct logo stemming from the Star Forge, and there were no venators 5000 years BBY... but Harrower class dreadnoughts...
@@InvictaHistory OP is right, but since you mostly use info from the new Disney canon it doesn‘t matter that much, most of the lore about the history of the jedi is from the old Expanded Universe/ Legends canon, and much of the established info about the history already contradicts the old canon. Maybe you should focus on and use the Legends/ EU timeline, because that‘s where the vast majority of the info from. And it‘s a lot of info. Good video and much effort put into it, but kind of disappointed you don‘t prioritize the already well established lore timeline. Disney calling their new timeline canon doesn‘t really mean anything especially, when George Lucas mostly disapproves of it, as he made clear in some of his interviews. The new timeline isn‘t simply really popular among fans, the only reason there are a number of fans who somewhat accepted it is because of the generation of fans who grew up with The Clone Wars animated series which became part of the new canon, and because there are many characters and references to it appearing in other media. But even that show show itself took much inspiration and even lore from the previous Clone Wars multimedia, such as the as the dozens of official Clone Wars era novels and comics. For the Old Republic era history, the pre disney continuity timeline is a must, Dawn of the Jedi, Tales of the Jedi, Knights of the old Republic and The Old Republic, Knight Errand, Darth Bane and some parts on that era in some of the older source books and guides are relevant for it. It‘s of course a lot, so for some overview you could use Wookiepedia, which is fairly accurate on much, and at least the official Star Wars website even had links to articles on it, at least before the Disney takeover, there were also articles on the star wars website on the lore itself, but I think the „databank“ in its old form doesn‘t exist anymore.

@@homelessswede9675 3.5 million clone were produced so 200k is a big army compered to all the clones. Also there were 700k-900k clone deaths during the war. But the clone army was tiny compered to the droid army who neared quintillion of troops. And also one System army fought for one system that is a planet and its moons and most of the time to campture a planet from the separatists you'll to besiege five to twenty important cities/bases/facilities and after go after some holdouts.
Very good video. A good history and analyzation of the Jedi Order with no misconceptions about them. Keep the good work. Watching over clone army videos with great interest
Awesome! I really needed this. I follow for the military history content. It's been my passion since childhood. I would love to see a military analysis of the units in SWTOR.
