WHY THE ADS?: For the record, I have no control over these horrible ADS due to RU-vid’s updated policies and I’ve never made a red cent from RU-vid. If you know of a way to block RU-vid’s new policy, let me know!
RU-vid’S AD POLICIES: RU-vid updated their AD policy in 2022 where they state: “Ads can now appear on videos from channels not in the RU-vid Partner Program (YPP)…” However, to be in the RU-vid Partner Program, you have to monetize your channel to control the ADS. Basically, RU-vid now has the right to add the ADS they choose, if a channel does not own the content that is uploaded. I don’t’ own the S.C. content, so they can put ADS on this channel. I hate that, but I also know this platform reaches countless people, so don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater.
GOOGLE SEARCH RESULT: I googled it, and Google states: "Ads may appear on your uploaded videos even if you haven't monetized the videos yourself. If your video contains content to which you don't own all necessary rights, the rights holder may have chosen to place ads on it. RU-vid may also place ads on videos in channels not in the RU-vid Partner Program."
RU-vid PARTER PROGRAM RESULTS: “The RU-vid Partner Program (YPP) gives creators greater access to RU-vid resources and monetization features, and access to our Creator Support teams. It also allows revenue sharing from ads being served on your content. Learn more about the features, eligibility criteria, and application details in this article.”
A WAY AROUND THE ADS: Get RU-vid Premium, $13.99/month, you won’t see any more ads while studying. / premium No one wants to support RU-vid, but it allows us to see the lectures, it’s like a giant stand. It has a lot of darkness, so God’s Word, put on this stand provides true light to the dark world. It’s up to each individual. I pay for it on my personal channel, and it is worth it to me as I study on the road every day with my job.
