Those animatronics are insane! I was lucky enough to work on this attraction. Seeing the chasing Dino during testing was unreal. You could see it breathing the nostrils flaring. It looked alive. The guys over at Creature Tech are amazing at what they do.

This ride looks like it understands how screens and cgi are very useful tools, but there's just something about a practical affect that can't be replicated. But when you put the two together, you get the best of both and the result is greater for it

Contrary to many, I hope that this ride stays as an original Beijing ride. The park already desperately needs more quality unique additions, keeping it’s only main draw to the park exclusive seems like the most logical choice.

As an animatronic enthusiast, as soon as I saw the I-Rex chase the ride car my jaw DROPPED! This is so amazing, and they move so fluidly. Pair this up with Disney Sea in Japan and I really start resenting the money hungry view of stateside parks, where we make do with overly repurposed, old, falling apart rides and animatronics that often might as well be rubber suits with a person inside moving the head on a stick. It's clearly not technology holding stateside theme parks back, it's the idea that they can just keep raising prices and reselling us the same, 30+ year old experience over and over.

Agree with you on that one! 👍👌 IIRC, Tokyo Disneyland has a *Beauty and the Beast* ride that looks absolutely AMAZING … the animatronics look so lifelike & well-detailed, it’s mind-blowing! 🤩🤩 🤩 And it even recreates that whole scene where Beast comes back to life after Belle tells him that she loves him … and then the actual Beast animatronic “levitates” off of the floor, then “transforms” back to his human form right before the riders’ very eyes! 🤩 Just the way they created the illusion of him floating in midair and then slowly coming back down to the ground is absolutely spectacular! 👍👏👏👏 And have you ever seen the *Mystic Manor* ride @ Hong Kong Disneyland?? (It’s their own personal twist on the Haunted Mansion! 👻) EVERYTHING about that ride is incredible, from the opening storyline with the monkey bringing ancient artifacts to life, to the fun theme song recorded by Danny Elfman himself! 😎 Oh, and I almost forgot about *TRON: Lightcycle Run* @ Shanghai DL! (WDW Orlando should be getting their own version as soon as next year… 🎉 🎊 )

Being a Beijinger myself, I have visited Universal Studios Beijing for more than ten times so far, and I must say that the JW adventure is definitely one of the best rides among all rides from all Universal parks. As a JP and a JW fan I found the whole experience simply amazing. You don't really need any dress up for photos as in the wizarding world, since you are here to be a guest on Isla Nublar. It's better to come here in summer for better experience. BTW I think the pandemic policies are changing now... So I believe we can open up soon See you guys in Universal Beijing!

This ride looks absolutely incredible but I absolutely love velocicoaster it’s currently my favorite roller coaster I’ve ever been on right now it’s best to ride at night in my opinion too

I’m so happy they made this ride. One of my favorite U.S. rides was Jurassic Park River Adventure, and I was so pissed off when they changed sections of the ride for indominous Rex green screens. It just kinda ruined it for me, but this truly looks awesome!! Can’t wait to get on it!

The scene with the two big dinos fighting (as you're sitting between them), reminds me of Rise of the Resistance - the scene with the big guns going off as you ride by the windows.. the idea of putting you into as far into the core of the narrative as possible..

Actually, on a good day (Or basically any day), the Jurassic Flyers ride will always have the most people. There's this one moment on the ride that'll allow the riders to have a full view of the park, and many take photos there.

Yeah really, this ride seems “short” enough that it could be its own separate attraction. Might even help crowds and wait times. Maybe.. They can keep the River Adventure to tell the first couple movies’ stories, and this one is for Indominus and all the latest Jurassic World. I live in California and I’m honestly not impressed with Universal here. Never really was either. I know they’re limited on space in a different way, since it’s so urbanized around there already, and they basically have to remove a ride to build a ride. But Universal Hollywood is seriously lackluster on the ride front!! I wish we could have this here too.

I'dd up it one more... I'd love if the AA Dino would *bump* the ride vehicle while following it. Of course as an illusion, meaning the ride vehicle would suddenly move forward or a spring mechanism of some sort could be hidden and triggered in the vehicle. Now THAT would make me nervous! :) Great ride nonetheless.

Looking great. I do hope they can improve the screens that stop too early like at the 6:09 mark. This happens also on some other dark rides. Luckily most people won't notice while riding, but sadly i often look a bit too much around (ceilings, infrared camera's and exit signs are my dark ride enemies).

I would love to ride this because I love being immersed in a ride’s story, especially when the story is really good. But at the same time, the Indominus Rex is the dino that haunts my nightmares (there is something so psychologically terrifying to me about a huge carnivorous dinosaur that is extremely intelligent that figures out it’s top of the food chain) and I would be having nightmares for weeks after going on this ride.

im living in beijing and goes there often (season pass)... and i agree that the jurassic world ride here is amazing. And i also agree with the Jurassic flyer, its just a boring family coaster. I'd kill for a velocicoaster here but it will be just a pipe dream as theyre focused on family-friendly rides here, the mummy indoor coaster will be impossible too here as the gov is strict with "Scary stuff" (skeleton, ghosts etc)

As someone who grew up next to Uni Orlando, I'm glad to see them using animatronics here. I remember seeing Kongfrontation and Jaws, rides with amazing mockups. As of recent, both uni and Disney have been using a lot of screens, and to me and other fans, that's boring. (Such as Fast and the Furious and the new Kong ride.) If anything, screens should be used WITH animatronics to tell a story. Not be the main set pieces. I go to Universal to be transported into the movies, not watch a big ass CGI screen I can do at home. This ride gives me hope for Epic Universal, I hope they keep this up!

This might be a controversial opinion but, I think JP river adventure in Orlando should stay JP BUT rework it so that there could be a Spinosaurus animatronic facing T-Rex rather than Indominus. That way it can be updated to feel fresh yet not completely erase JP for future generations. I love both JP and JW so I like the idea of having both rather than just one or the other.

I’ve always thought that a major fringe benefit of the Spider-Man ride system is that you never see the track or another vehicle, it does a lot to sell the illusion. Look at Ratatouille ride, the Spider-Man formula but trackless doesn’t actually work all that well.

We stayed at the Universals Beijing Hotel in August- The Jurassic World section is impressive at first glance, however, the ride mentioned above, in my opinion, was really too chaotic. There was no gradual buildup; you see a brachiosaur for 4 seconds and then you are just tossed and spun around until it's over. Would have been nice to have 'ooh aah that's how it starts' and then introduce the craziness. Overall comments for that section of Universal studios - it was lacking in Dinosaur models around the area. Even the sky fliers you don't see any dinos at all, just some lab before you get on a ride that could have literally any franchise sticker on it.
