This administration's degree of corruption and incompetence is getting ridiculous. I feel sorry for people who are disabled and do not get the support to which they are legally entitled. Leah Foster Alderman, you have my sincere gratitude. Imagine investing $1.5K and earning $6k in just four days.

It's bringing my husband real anxiety and stress worrying about this all the time. Including friends who also walk with aids.

Thanks for the update, although there's not a great deal going on until the new government gets itself organised. I'm not sure if others feel the same but one of the main things that messes with my head is the lack of clarity with the DWP. You can have an assessment, get given an award for X amount of time(assuming they don't just flat turn you down until you challenge them) but they can move the goalposts anytime they want potentially(that's how it feels at least). The whole system seems to be like a war of attrition....how many obstacles can we make you jump thru until you give up on trying to claim or in the worst cases get to the point where you are made to feel worthless by the system(and then other things may happen). Sorry bit of a wall of text, not feeling very cheery atm.

Whatever they do they will make the poor poorer!!

Wish they would change the format of the PIP form. It's very confusing. You never know what to write.

They can cannot put people with debilitating conditions back in to work, for example, mentally unstable people who are medicated up to the eye balls who have trouble with daily simple tasks who are vulnerable and gullible people need support and protection just imagine going through day by day with horrible issues only to loose your benefits the system needs to change correct but not punish vulnerable

Sadly those with Long Covid have had our bodies affected by Covid-19 and it stopped me from doing anything more that 5 mins. End up with PEM. Can't do things I used to be able to do. And walking has been hard hit. They don't care about what medical conditions you have.

I’m a survivor of historic CSA & diva I have had a traumatic life and it’s left me with severe anxiety , cptsd and crippling fibromyalgia, I rely on this support atm I have no family and I’m using this time to study so hopefully one day I can start a career helping people heal from traumas and live a safe life with tools to help live in peace and harmony, if they take this life jacket away I’ll leave UK and go to the sun i feel better in the warmer weatger and water , if im going to suffer in England like I have most of my life then ill suffer in the sun bcoz I’ve got no more fight or traumas left in me !

Did you notice if Mr Starmer appointed a minister for the disabled? As far as I’m aware he didn’t at the time have a shadow minister when in opposition! I’m still awaiting a reply from my labour constituency candidate(now MP) on PIP. He did say he’d reply regarding another enquiry I asked about arthritis…

Work Capability Assessments could be replaced by automatic disability benefits entitlement based on a medical diagnosis from a GP with long term disability benefits entitlement from hospital tests and consultant reports. Automatic disability benefits entitlements could allow for conditions to be placed in bands of severity with conditions falling within the band being automatically eligible for disability benefits. Progressive, degenerative conditions and conditions without improvement could be exempt from mandatory review. Reviews could ensure existing claims continue payments at existing rates awaiting the review completion. Automatic disability benefits entitlement could avoid the hostile, degrading, dehumanising, embarrassing and humiliating process of Work Capability Assessments. The social model of disability could be retained for non disability benefits situations such as work, travel, leisure, housing, public services, retail and education etc.

Hi Stew, yes I noticed that Labour stayed away from health benefits when they were campaigning and a few other subjects. Let’s face it we where stuck between a rock and a hard place the conservatives wanted to starve us and Labour simply said nothing. It’s always been a two horse race in this country for power. Labour should have been more open about a lot.

What are they doing with housing benefit mine stops march 25 as im 66 oap and my income support finishes my wife will have to clain uc for housing costs under the mixed age couple thing im claiming pip as is my wife i have emphysema bronchiestics egt

What I don't understand is they never considered the affect of the travel to and from a job. They seem to think you just magically just appear. As for local mp we now have a independent mp so I am not sure were I stand. Before I could just contact my old MP and they would always get back to me.

I'm still scared about my future with my disability benefits. I have hidden disabilities, including severe mental illness, autism, fibromyalgia, etc. I'm scared for my future. 😢 I feel people like myself with mental health/mild autism/fibromyalgia will be not taken seriously by the government. This is just my personal opinion, so I could be wrong...but I think in the long-term future, you may only get long-term disability benefits or sign off work long-term if you are seriously ill or disabled (like bedbound/wheelchair users/or need carers who provide you physical assistance type of care). But I think if you have the low-level type of disability (abled bodied/or just needing prompts/motivation with daily living), sadly you be pushed back to work or only on disability benefits on a short-term basis.... I could be wrong though with these thoughts. But the trouble is that some people with mild disabilities struggle with everyday life and wouldn't be able to work properly. So I worry that people with hidden disabilities or mild disabilities will not be taken seriously, sadly. I understand that some people can work with disabilities or illnesses. But as we know, everyone is different. Plus, the support out there is crap 💩 for people with disabilities these days. Plus, you cannot always get proper specialist treatments from NHS these days. So if the government wants to get people to return to return, they need to put more money and resources for disabled people so they can do normal stuff. My suggestion for your future videos stu would include the following, please: more discussions on mental health issues...more advice on practical solutions on how to manage your mobility and personal care issues....discussions on equipment, aids and Adaptions for people with physical and mental health issues....recommendations on cope in the workplace or in the education with a illness.....strategies on how to cope as a disability with accessing the community, public transport, cooking, cleaning, communicating, etc.....and obviously more awareness and talks about people with hidden disabilities....also, more discussions from carers, friends or family members who support disabled or poorly people....also, a video on how to communicate and have a good relationshipas a disabled/poorly person with your doctors.. ...big hugs 🫂 take care! Thanks. Just to say that I am an individual claiming DLA and I was able to make a contribution to the consultation so unless this has now changed it is not only organisations that can make representations.

I cant thank you enough for your analysis of the benefits system. Could I ask a favour though, those of us on contribution based ESA are often left out when it comes to cost of living payments and when ESA is discussed. Could you make it clear which ESA you are talking about ie contributions related verses income related . As far as I Could understand last time was that ALL benefits will be transferring to Universal credit EXCEPT contributions based? Do you know why we aren’t included? And whether it’s a good thing or bad? Thank you from a confused contribution based in the support group person.

Hi Stu, I've already joined Organised and signed the petition. I've also signed a petition from The Big Issue to end poverty and one by Scope. Scope asked if we could send an email to our local candidates. I got a reply from SNP and Labour. Labour took the seat from SNP. My new MP's work history is working with learning difficulties and he says he is passionate about helping people with disabilities. Regarding the green paper, are we still able to comment on it? I'm easily confused and from what you said at the start I thought you meant we were to leave things to organisations instead. Also, I read thst one think tank has said that switching from cash to vouchers won't work and won't save any money. I don't know if you've seen that one.

Hi Stuart i get income based esa and pip. I read that if claiming both i should automatically receive severe disability premium but i have never received. Is this information correct or do i have to phone up and claim this premium. Thankyou.

To all those who voted Labour and are on PiP thinking that this crew would be any better or compassionate than the last lot , well done , not only have you voted for a party that's going to implement what the Tories came up with , you've allowed a party that's opened our borders wider , allowed criminals to get out of prison early , high taxes and houses built on green land , Labour were very quiet over this green paper discussed by the Tories , now you know why ...

live with my wife in 2 different properties given to me by the government. we have 5 kids and pregnant with another, we find it really hard to live on the benefit we are owed by uk government. i am applying to pip for my bad back so should be helpful soon i as wondering if there is a way i can get more so i can provide my kids presents and food please

Uc credit phoned me last week askkng for 4 months statements asked them was under investigation for fraud told no....i told them i wudnt be sending them as its my buisness today i find out im cut

How does work give you value,there are plenty of things that give you value,so what happens if tou lose your job,you have no value then what?. Many of these semi Ind unskilled jobs are drudgery,bad management you always read on indeed reviews,bullying.My wife for minimum wage worked the job in a kitchen of 4 people,on minimum wage never got her breaks,was conned out of holidays.got incorrect wages.That was working for a large catering company.Tou have to remember if you are on minimum wage you are working to pay rent to which many workers fall into arrears,council tax,travel to work expenses.normally need a car with all the expenses that incurs. So after you pay your rent you’re nothing but a slave. Of course the economy is built on work so we mustn’t see these things,”work is good for you like the “nazis said on there concentration camps “work set u free”

Sorry, but there are some very vulnerable Veterans on PIP out there, some very anxious, some with Extremely Severe debilitating conditions, ranging from Complex Military Combat PTSD Trauma, Severe COPD, Stroke Disabilities, restricted mobility etc. Scant information is not helping those people Stu, however well intended it is. We are already losing 30 Veterans a month to 'Suicide' due to PTSD Combat Trauma. Some are aged 64 years with very complex conditions. Please, I am asking put meaningful facts out, because at present, scant details are very likely to push people over the edge...be responsible with REAL facts. For the sake of these particularly vulnerable people whose PIP payment each month is truly, and quite litterally, the difference between Life and Death for them.
