Universal Reveals More Helios Grand Hotel Details | Epic Universe Update 

This is probably as close as I will get to that hotel. It’s gonna cost a good chunk of change to stay there. But if you do, enjoy!! Thanks for the video.

At the bottom of the “Details Revealed” article (in an answer to a question), it states that the hotel will not include “Universal Express Unlimited”.

No unlimited express pass for this one. I feel like the biggest perk is access directly into Epic Universe. The fact that it doesn’t include express, I think it will keep it affordable. I feel like it will be priced between Sapphire Falls and the other Signature hotels. Sapphire Falls won’t have express either as the wording on the website says express pass will be offered at “select signature collection hotels” Just my guess. It’s really not luxurious so I’m not mad at that. It’s still nice and has cool views. I still can’t wait.

I have noticed a trend in New construction on all resorts in both Disney and Universal and it's the fact that resort pools have really not much to them. I love features like waterfalls, caves, slides, elaborate lighting, grotto's, and lazy rivers. Lately nobody has made anything epic with aquatic features and I don't understand why? This is why I've always loved resorts like the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Hyatt Regency and Four Seasons Orlando if you can afford it. Swan and Dolphin also, they have much better pools which is big for me and my kids.

Helios looks beautiful and when the moment they mentioned their having suites themed to HTTYD I was like no way no way are they going to announce Super Nintendo themed rooms and then came the let down lol.. hope we get Super Nintendo themed rooms in a future planned hotel coming around the theme park. Nonetheless I’m loving the beautiful views from the rooftop bar

Was expecting a bit more, will be curious how they are pricing this, I would say upscale, maybe upper-upscale, but not luxury

Kind of wish they would have themed it more to Greek Mythology, but it really looks nice. It does have a Riviera vibe to it.

I would hate to say at this hotel and they have days where the park close at 6-7 pm like the other parks occasionally do. I need this to be a 10pm minimum park.

One thing I'm concerned about: Universal already has the Portofino. Wouldn't some theme other than Mediterranean work better? Wouldn't it be a better idea to design and style it in a truly alien, otherworldly way, using some as yet unknown design language?

It definitely looks like you're going to be paying almost an arm and a leg to stay there the vast majority of the year. I wish the promo video offered more specifics as to how the "storytelling" continues into Helios. I don't know: I feel some of the corporate-speak in the video veered too closely to "Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser"-speak for comfort. I'm sure it will at least be better than the Galactic Starcruiser, but it didn't really show much, it just talked.

These people complaining about the theme, you’re not gonna be in a hotel that long. You’re supposed to be in the park. The hotel is just a hold you over for a small amount of time. And it will be the same people that will book the hotel when it first opened.

My guess is It will be in the range of 600$ per ninght

NO Express Pass for the Universal Helios Grand Hotel - it really surprises me, but... it is NOT included.

I have a feeling they are going to eliminate Express Passes from ALL the “Signature Hotels” once Epic Universe opens. Maybe they are going to eliminate the Express Passes entirely and introduce a new, more expensive skip the line/shorter line system. Maybe it’s just a new “Express Pass” policy for “Epic Universe” until the buzz does down. Still, I don’t think any of the “Signature Hotels” are worth it at the current prices without “Express Passes” and I expect Helios to cost more.

They've answered multiple Social Media posts... It will not have Express.

I don't think they'll do any express the first year..

I googled price and it said rooms starting in 150 range.

This is very telling that epic won't be offering express pass upon open. There's no way helios is not premier tier hotel.

Honestly, I hate to say it, but I'm kind of underwhelmed. The exterior is so "epic" and the interior, at least from renderings, is just nice. I personally wish they'd leaned more into the Greek look and made the whole hotel more like the rooftop bar. But that's just me. The biggest thing that makes me not want to stay at this hotel is the only having 1 day at the park. Staring out those windows at Epic Universe but only being able to visit once, would be torture. So while i know its probably unlikely, I really hope Universal makes it more than 1 day for those people that stay at that hotel esp since it doesn't include an express pass but will likely cost the most. If they don't do that, i'll probably just stay at one of the other hotels where i can visit Universal/Islands as much as I want and not look longingly at Epic Universe. (and not get evicted/banned for trying to sneak into the park for an extra day)

I’m not that impressed. It looks upscale in a minimalist way. I would have liked more theming. Not much to see here. The only advantage it provides is the proximity to the park.

I don’t know what I was expecting but I feel let down. This doesn’t appeal to me the way I’m hyped for the park itself.

Very nice looking hotel. But it's really got nothing that really makes it stand out so it doesn't seem very special.
