This hotel is beautiful! I'm glad you guys stayed overnight because it allowed for a great in-depth review. I'm really impressed by the fact that they thought to install The Bible on the iPads because I'm sure, they didn't have to do it at all! (It would have blown me away if they'd installed the YouVersion Bible app which I have on all my electronic devices.) I think The Aventura might be my first hotel stay when I make my way back down to Florida toward the end of this year or the first part of next year. Nikki, you're absolutely gorgeous! L❤️VE you guys and thanks so much for blessing us with some great videos!
Thanks, it's the first time we've done a "on property" resort/hotel review. If the video is well received we'll do more. We had planned to add morning footage, but our morning got out of hand, lot of viewers knew we were there and wanted meet and greets so I didn't get to do my review of the beds....FYI, if you like firm bed you'll be okay because they are really firm, it you like a softer bed you might not like the beds.
Oh, forgot to mention on camera, the there is a charge for the VR game room...something like $10 for 5 minutes or $5 for 10 minutes, don't recall exactly but something like that
Thanks for the tour! Looks like a really nice place for the price. I loved being able to use the room key to charge things at the parks to our room! Definitely a perk of staying onsite.
Thanx for the video, was very helpful as I'm planning a bday trip in February. You actually just responded to my question on your website amazingly fast.
Thanks for the review you two, my family booked this hotel in October and we hope to see you there. My daughters told me the first thing they're doing is going on a hunt for your painted rocks they're so excited thanks again.
Our last trip, where we met you guys when you were filming at IOA on a Sunday, we stayed in Cabana Bay. No fast passes, but by staying there instead of RP, Portofino, or HR, and buying Express Unlimited on our own, we saved a little over $200 during the course of our stay. More money to spend on other things....just my take
We are here at Cabana Bay and we have to say that the adventura looks awesome and very modern......hope to see rix and nix while we are in the park we used your videos to get caught up on what has happened lately so we know what to try on our honeymoon!!!!!!
Another great video 👏🏻 the hotel looks awesome, I’m sooo happy to see universal expanding and giving people more affordable options with hotels stays. Can’t wait to see what’s kind of hotel they are going to come up with when the land opens I’m hoping for some Harry Potter theme hotel.
Did you guys do a review of the other Hotels at Universal? Very informative and I would love a tour of the other hotels to make a better decision on my stay. Plan going to the Hard Rock in the middle of September.
Looks great. We JUST got home yesterday after a week at Cabana Bay Beach Resort! It was our first time at ANY theme park for a vacation and we enjoyed it a lot...up to the point I dislocated my left knee hitting the catch pool of the Tainui (green) volcano water tube at Volcano Bay and I had to spend our last two days in a wheelchair. But we didn't let that ruin our vacation! Actually the worst part of the visit was the weather...not the rain but the HEAT and almost 100% humidity. We are adjusting our visit next time to either early Spring or Winter. BTW...my FAVORITE ride was the BILGE water ride! It was SO HOT the ride was HEAVEN! I don't know how Nicki can ever say NO to it! Cabana Bay was great! Excellent staff interactions from our favorite housekeeper to front desk to bartenders and even check-out people for the Bayliner Diner AND we made some great friends from Manchester, England! Thanks again for all your videos! I'll get you guys some Ko-Fi soon!
Thanks for all the info. August is about the worst month for weather...the time after Thanksgiving but before Christmas is nice. Also, I think and late February/early March...just with March you have to make sure you come before Easter/Spring break. Nikki main issue is getting her hair wet, it's naturally curly but she likes it straight so she's no fan of getting her hair wet. Sorry to hear about you knee.
We just reserved Aventura for the Orlando Informer meet up in Dec! I know we just got a standard room so not expecting much on the view from the room. But the views from the rooftop sounds like it's awesome! ~Dawn
Really enjoyed the rooftop area...I forgot to mention this on camera, not sure how you like your beds, the ones there are firm. Nikki was okay with it but too firm for my taste.
Rix Flix Awesome.. thanks so much for the heads up!! Wonder if that will change much by Dec since they are brand new. I have a friend staying there in October will have to see what she thinks by that time. Thanks!! ~Dawn
One more tip we learned on our last trip, you may cover this in the next video, not sure, but here goes: stayed at Cabana Bay, right across the street from Aventura and Sapphire Falls. Took the bus the first couple of days, and went through the main security, then a long walk through CityWalk. 3rd day we went across the street to Sapphire Falls, went down to the water taxi and the security there. Much faster and they drop you off right between the parks so no walking through CityWalk to get to the parks. Aventura is on the same side of the street as Sapphire Falls, right across a small parking lot so should be really easy to access the water taxi. One last thing: if you do what we did, and come back to take a nap in the early afternoon, lol, then head to the shuttle area. The water taxi back to Sapphire Falls is a longer wait than coming into the parks and you can be back at the hotel in about 10 minutes with the shuttle. But, to avoid the main security area, come in by water taxi. Great video. We are planning on staying at Aventura on our next trip...possibly mid to late January or early February.
Thank you so much for this video. I just booked this for our trip in June before we stay at Disney. I have never stayed at universal before. We are giving it a try.
Hey Guys, Thank you for that extensive review. I visit Universal three or four times a year (September 11th-15 coming up) and always hang my hat at the Royal Pacific. By far the best hotel I have ever stayed and the staff is 5 stars as well. Looking at your review of Aventura you really do receive a lot of value for the money. Very Very nice hotel at a great price. Great video guys!!! A must view if you are planning on visiting Universal and staying in an on-site hotel. I'll look for you guys when I get to the park in a couple of weeks if I see you I will come by to say a quick hello if that is ok.
Great review of the hotel. We will be staying across the road at Cabana Bay, so planning a trip over to have a look around. Also got a text from Virgin Holidays that they have a hub for customers to come and visit in the Aventura, so planning on checking that out as well. Nice embarrassment of your daughter by the way, had us laughing as well. It's a great way to review the hotel by actually staying on site and getting a real feel for it, so looking forward to part 2.
You should go over to check out the roof top bar. Nice views and that menu item I had was awesome and some of the other suff being service looked good too
Word of warning: If you allow them to place the 'charge to room' option on your key, they'll pre-authorize $100 extra for each day you're staying in addition to your room rate. It's important to know for those paying with a debit card with low funds, or paying with a credit card with a really low limit. You can ask them NOT to enable that at checkin, and avoid this.
We had the pleasure to stay here last year (May 2019) during our first ever Universal trip. Great hotel with nice staff, clean rooms with an amazing view (we could see hogwarts at the night.... *wow*)
Great video, we are staying in October this year. Glad you showed us your view! We are in a standard room, did they offer you the option to upgrade on check in at all? How much is it? Thanks again! 😀🎢🎠🍸
They only asked if I wanted a higher floor or a lower floor...the rooms with the best window views have a higher price. We did the basic standard room for $116. Most of the meal entrees are $12-$14, fountain soda is like $4 and of course bar drinks $9 and up. There is a charge for the VR game room....like around $10
Thanks for the video! Yours is the first one to show more of the universal store inside the hotel! Staying there over Halloween week! How far is the walk over to sapphire falls to get on the water taxi instead of taking the bus from Aventura? Also, Do they also have a game room with normal Arcade games besides the vr room?
No normal Arcade and there is charge for the VR game room, I forgot to mention, i think like $10 for 10 minutes, something like that. Aventura, it right next to Sapphire Falls, like they practically sit right on top of each other.
Very interesting very fun I could send you some pics of the villa we stayed in last time and the sign at the back "don't feed or molest the alligators "lol as if
Don't get me started, as a native Florida, I have a thing about feeding gators...I've almost mentioned it in a vlog before. Gators are naturally afraid of us, UNLESS you feed them....then they start to think people = food, grrrrrrr to those that feed gators...
Have you stayed at the Sapphire Falls? i cant decide between this or there for an early December visit this year. I know I can pool hop to other hotels, so this hotel choice is mostly for the skyline room with a great view and this Bar 17 Bistro
We have stayed there...before we started the youtube channel. If you're asking about which we prefer, it would be Cabana Bay, but if you stay at Cabana Bay, still it's worth a trip to Adventura to visit the roof top bar.
One more question, do you think the express is worth the money and do you recommend purchasing it if we stay at Cabana bay? We have never been to universal.
That's tough because I hate spending others peoples money...at IOA, here are the rides that can get to 60 minute waits or more...Hulk, Kong, the Harry Potter ride. But if you there for early park admission you can ride the Harry Potter ride before the park is open to everyone, then as soon as the park opens you can ride Hulk, Kong and Spiderman, in like an hours time. If you like to sleep in, I guess, get the express passes. At the universal side, the longest wait time will be for Rip Ride Rockit and Gringotts, oh and Minions...but once again, utilize the early park admissions and you can do more. Hope that helps.
