Incidentally that “Yesterday” poster that was in the corridor, the movie was partly filmed in my home town Gorleston On Sea near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk. Enjoy the rest of your Asia trip guys.

Looks great guys really does , but what is really exciting is we might have this over the uk and this would be mega a game changer to all us theme park junkies and also do u think guys we would get toothsomes chocolate emporium thank you guys for taking us along for your adventures not long been back from Florida first time at Disney parks over there was amazing but we did California 8 weeks prior and I must say no a big fan off California it’s just a bit more special really is can’t wait for you guys to go back

Nice Hotel vlog .. I wonder if this park is mainly locals and not many tourists ? Maybe why cheaper due to wages in China ??

When I think about washing on some larger trip like this, I'd try and go for around every 5 days or so. It does sound closer to halfway though for the first wash on this trip, but its nice to get a mix of both on-site and off site accommodation. As you said, being on site does adds something (even if you are an associate living on campus)

Really enjoying these videos guys! I have to say though regarding the staffing levels, cleanliness and investment that’s clearly been made, PLEASE consider the human rights record that Chinese and migrant works have throughout China, Asia and the Middle and Far East. It could be argued that visiting parks in this part of the world may be a little contentious considering the countries and regions Human Rights record. By all means have an amazing time, but always, eyes wide open as to how these parks will have been financed and how they have been built/staffed etc. it’s no wonder they offer such value compared to Europe and North America.

Oh yes! You should remember from your last visit in 2017 Shawn, KFC is extensively available in both mainland China and Hong Kong. It's very popular with the people there. You'll find it served at many restaurants including free standing locations. At one time it was the most available of all western fastfood chains, not certain if it still enjoys that distinction.

Are you doing disney too? Do u think universal uk be open all year round so have indoor bits too?

💈🏯🏤🏰⛲ Now that's outstanding and so beautiful. The chocolate choices are devine looking. 😋🍫🧉👌🏻 However a little odd regarding the KFC situation. 🍗

I only have the experience of living near universal in Japan but when it comes to a lack of people in city walk it sometimes happens here too. It's a combination of people making sure they don't miss the last train home, as the majority of the park visitors are locals who visit on day trips a few times a year. This is also why the restaurants and shops closed earlier than the US too. It's also due to the restaurants been quite expensive for locals. They have a lot more low budget restaurants in Japan's universal and they are always packed but after an hour or so of the park closing, city walk is usually dead besides those staying in the hotels. I wonder if it's the same situation in Beijing.

I am really surprised that the UK hasn't built Universal Studios or Walt Disney theme park, they shud of done that years ago.

regarding food: Pigeons: pigeons are specifically breed in farm just like chickens and ducks. They are no better / worst than game birds or pheasants you can get in UK supermarkets. I like them, taste like a slightly more game-y duck, despite being quite expensive and you do not get a lot of meat for the portion. They are commonly available in HK as well, if you want to give them a try when you are in HK. Blood soup: From the photo, I can tell that it is similar to something you get regularly in the UK: Black pudding. Just that that one is made with duck blood, and Black Pudding is made with pork blood. (I don't like blood products, so I am afraid I cannot say if they taste the same)

I think Toothsome in Hollywood does have that dome structure, but I think it might have replaced something else and wouldn't be surprised if its the smallest of the them. Also the other Citywalks are over multiple stories (Osaka's is basically surrounded by Sky Scrapers)

How much were the tickets for the park. Did you buy them in advance?

I really hope that if Universal does build in the UK that we get this level of theming and quality and not a second rate poor relation version. Loving these vlogs, everything is magical.

It's trange to see how many filmstudio- theme parks fail to stay in Europe, but manage to be in Asia all over the continent in the highest quality. Warner Bros in Germany, Paramount or Universal in Spain. And even Disney had struggled to stay in France at the beginning. But in Asia, they're all fine in the highest quality in rides.

Jumbo seafood is from Hong Kong. You used to see the boat out there but they have moved to a location inland. They have set meal which is nice.

Will you be doing a citywalk vlog from Universal Japan?

Well, you 2 have got to remember your in Beijing, so I would imagine they're policy & rules are guna probably be stricter compared to America, cleanliness is guna be second to none aswell.

i think the restaurants in citywalk are way too expensive for chinese people. they need to include more budget option restaurants just like Shanghai Disneytown to attract more people.

Maybe its just me but i can only image the pricing of a UK resort hotel like that would be unaffordable for many families...I dont hold oit much hope for resort Bedford being marketed anything other than 'premium resort experience ' with a price to match

There is a nature trail on top of the Hollywood sign. Bring lots of water to enjoy it. This trail actually goes all the way down to the Griffith Observatory in downtown LA. It’s also a pain to do as it gets really hot and it takes a long time. Just prepare yourself as the hike isn’t easy.

I never thought that China could be on our list of must do parks until now, we are led to believe that China are baddies but blimey this seems such a great resort to visit and if we can afford the flights the costs there are so reasonable and great to see Western food along with the crispy pigeons... Your travel advice will come in useful as info seems hard to research a trip. This is a fab adventure

It’s actually really rare for anyone to have pool in China. It’s always the pool at the community rec center or that’s about it. Hotels never have pools. Pools are seen as more a religious necessity than recreation. If you go to any temple they have very shallow pools for washing your feet before entering the ceremony hall. You must cleanse your mouth and feet when you enter a temple. Besides where can you put a pool as the space is so limited.

Is anyone else getting a large amount of ads on these latest vlogs.

Duck blood is a speciality of southern china unfortunately still bland. Really the blood doesn’t taste like anything, it’s just a texture thing as it’s interesting but it’s a standard beef soup with duck pieces regardless. It’s supposed to increase red blood cell count but I don’t believe it as it never worked for me.

I remember going to China and we walked in KFC also. It was like a fine dining restaurant in the United States there were white tablecloths someone was there to greet you when you walked in and walk you to your table. Same original recipe. The reason no one was in the city walk shops people in communist country mostly make the same wage and they can't afford things like that
