Just rode this a few days ago and this ride is an absolute beast. I couldn’t even scream during most of the ride because my jaw was on the floor with how much force this ride puts you through.
Was not ready for this ride to be as intense as it was. That part where you're upside down doing a giant loop UNDERGROUND is absolutely bonkers. I'm not scared of coasters in the slightest, but even I would hesitate to ride this again it made me a lil sick after. IF YOU'VE NEVER DONE IT THO DON'T BE A LIL BEETCH JUST DO IT
Totally agree! I always had a strong stomach for coasters but this one is on another level. I only rode it once, and it was the only time a ride has ever made me feel nauseated. I've been on a bunch of the top coasters across the UK, Florida and California, but none of them could compare to this. I heard Japan has a thing for intense coasters, and some of them had to be closed or modified as a result. (Do-Dodonpa is one notorious example.)
This coaster is such a delight to ride, I'm too afraid to go in regular coasters with loopings but this one looked like so much fun and it was! We had a fast ticket for the first ride and we went again during dinner time so we barely waited :)
i went on this when i went to USJ. it was the first roller coaster i had ever done. haven't been scared of roller coasters after this haha. it really helps if you get a fast pass for this ride as it helps get rid of all the stress u feel when you wait in line for a roller coaster this crazy. that's what i did and it was absolutely incredible
YO this was my first roller coaster ever as well! I casually mentioned it when we were being buckled in and my friend was like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?????" Super fun lol
definitely recommend riding this! it’s not as scary as it looks. i was so scared to ride it, but riding it with your face & body parallel to the ground actually makes things soooo much better! one of the best rides at usj no doubt. next to the castle walk ofc! ☺️
Davidsonjasonson2.0 20067 they have the same style coaster with a different track layout at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. Ride is called Tatsu.
Looks like one of the best rides ever period! Pretzel loops are already easily my favorite element of all time and this adds in that insane raven turn and inline twists
It took us around an hour to get to this ride. I felt dizzy before the ride, but I realized that I couldn’t leave the park without riding this one. When it was our turn, my dizziness wore off. 10/10, I wanted to try again, but my father wanted a different ride.
On my first time on this ride(also first time on roller coaster) It was fun and scary at same time,my dad and sister were screaming,i was staying silent for some reason,i'll never forget it
i’m currently seated within the park right now and i’m going to ride this (with my express pass) in an hour edit: it was fantastic but those individuals with long hair PLEASE TIE YOUR HAIR because it covers your face no matter how many times you attempt to tuck it behind your ear it was really fun and awesome though and definitely an experience

i watched this a lot to help me calm down before actually riding it.. and after riding it last october, i can say that it wasnt as scary as it looked and it was so fun! the best roller coaster i have been on by far!
I actually hated this coaster 😂. It thrashed me around the seat so hard, I was holding on, pushing my body and neck back so that I didn’t do neck damage. There was a moment where I wished I had more padding on my bod 😅
This shit looks sooo fun!! Reminds me of the Dueling Dragons ride that was at Universal Studios Orlando. I’m sooo mad it’s gone😤 *I Love Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure though
Yeah it’s made by the same company, B&M, but it’s a different type of ride. This one u lay on ur stomach. I wish they kept dueling dragons too I never got the chance to ride it 😢
I sat this in Dec 2023 and the scary part is that there is no buckle between the harness and the seat. If the harness’ hydraulics give way, you will be a splattered mess on the floor 😂
i had to wait 2.5 hours to have a ride and i was really disappointed. didn't feel as extreme as it looks, the anticipation was a lot more scary than the ride process itself. the funest part was the loop through that tunnel. unfortunately not the best attraction for people who like the adrenaline rush
I went to USJ in August and I can tell you that though I didn't go on it , the screams were horrifying as me and my mum waited for my friend and his mother to come from the eternal hell of waiting in line Allow me to describe it in full We were seated about fifteen feet below from the lowest point of the ride, at a bench by the Jurassic Park merch store. Every time a coaster goes by, I can barely- JUST BARELY- make out the faces of horror on the faces of the victims, while there's always one or two that seem to be laughing that I presume to be possessed by Satan. When my friend and his mum came back fifteen minutes later (they had express passes), he said it was a good ride but his face looked like it had been dragged through Tartarus and back. but that's my experience and presumption so it's probably not that bad
Actually I don't think it is as scary as you describe. I've been on the ride--twice, actually and I can tell you that while the course looks scary, it is not as frightening as it seems because you seat very firmly on the sit. The first time riding it I seated at the first or second row of the ride and the experience is AWESOME. The ride is fast but definitely comfortable. When they do the thing where you spin around the track it is actually very comfortable as your body is pushed towards the back of the seat. Moreover, the view is amazing, you can see many attractions in the park and sometimes you actually feel like you are being dragged around in the air by the dinosaur. Since I have much fun during my first ride, I tried it for the second time. This time I seated at the last row of the ride. This is not as enjoyable as the first time sitting at the front because you can not anticipate when will the ride start to accelerate, making the experience more frightening and less fun. Also the ride is going much faster because the last bit of the cart experience more acceleration and it is much more frightening. All in all, I think the ride is extremely fun and innovative. It is also less frightening for me compared to the other roller-coaster near the entrance of the park(I played the version where it goes forward) as there is less hang-time where you are actually lifted up from the seat. (The best part of this ride is the part where you are going up the slope slowly and people from under the ride waves at you to bit you farewell.)

Yes like many people pointed out it actually isn't as scary as it looks compared to Hollywood Dream also in USJ. Because of the weird way you are positioned you are constantly facing the ground and that kind of occupies your mind (where as normal roller coaster you are most likely looking at the track). Also don't be fooled by the rolls - I find them actually cancelling out some of that "floaty zero-g feeling" that people who are scared of roller coasters hate the most.
I am not very fond of roller coasters but I quite enjoyed this one and found it much better than the Hollywood dream roller coaster in the same theme park!
I remember riding this roller coaster at least 20 times when I lived in Japan. It’s...90 seconds of pure wtf. Like.... “WTFFFFFF IS HAPPENINGGGGGGG?!?!?!?” Because it’s so crazy and intense 😂 But it’s just so great
That’s a definite thriller. I had tried this ride this summer. It is so smooth but scary at the same time, as it is designed to make people feel the force. Once I got adapted to its speed, it drops; its drops, it spins; its spins; it drops again.
Took this ride this autumn and while it wasn't that scary, I must say that the part where you'll get to feel the "force/speed" was kinda terrifying. I had to close my eyes during that part (I think there were two sections where you'll feel it) or else I'm gonna throw up. Really fun ride nonetheless. :D
Fun Fact: Flying Dinosaur is actually the second tallest flying roller coaster after Tatsu; Tatsu has only 1 intense moment with the pretzel loop, but Flying Dinosaur has multiple intense moments, but none as intense as Tatsu's pretzel loop. The 2 roller coasters are nearly similar

this is still prohibited you know, it could endanger live if that camera falls down somewhere. Ride first the hollywood dream ride and flying dinosaur feels like less scarier.
American comments: This ride looks like fun! Japanese comments: NO CAMERAS ALLOWED ON THE RIDE!!!!! I guess that's a law in Japan. While here in the USA there is no law preventing it most parks won't allow it. Usually only professionals here in the USA can do POVs with the park's endorsement.

Imagine getting motion sickness, and not only leaving a trail of vomit on the ground but also having it fall back on your face in some of the upsidedown parts 🤢😂
i barely even felt that part and i liked the twists because since you are in flying position it feels good to lie down on your back as if it were your bed even just for one second
I watched this before my visit and thought the same, that this would be the intense part, it was somewhat relaxing lol?? Exactly the feeling Alexa above commented. It was 0:40 where I felt the most intense LOL that one made me feel SOOO disoriented but amazing lol
