I want to express my thanks to Hayward for their commitment to excellence assisting me to fix my Ecostar when local pool companies would not even come out to fix it. After multiple attempts by myself Hayward stepped in & got it fixed as good as new by a professional named Rick who was simply awesome. My new home will have all Hayward equipment as my existing home & inground pool has. I really appreciate Haywards offices getting this taken care of after a year of challenges.
The manual shows using the "OVRD" and "COM" connections to support a "Remote Stop" switch and that the 12v power supply on the pump can be used for this - but that "care must be taken". "Care must be taken" seems rather vague. What care must be taken if I simply have a user interface and a remote stop switch both using the 12v power, and I have dip switch 1 on?

@@HaywardPoolProducts haywards apparent policy of not trying to be directly helpful to pool owners even for simple technical questions is very frustrating. Finding a pool dealer that knows the answers to many of these questions is challenging.
If I have an extra "user interface" from a previously installed Ecostar is it possible to connect both interfaces at the same time to allow control from two different locations?

I have the same question. The manual says you can run both but the 220 requires a 15amp while the 110 requires a 20amp. Does it require 220 or can 110 be used? What are the benefits of 220v?
When replacing 2.7 eco star controlled with aqua logic my control wires are plugged into 7 and 8 low voltage connectors on the ecostar pump. Which connections would they be connected to on the tristar SP3400VSP? I'm using Aqua Logic controls

At the 9:15 mark, it says a need for 300v cable for the wall mount kit. Is that correct? I've also read you can use Cat6 or 18/4 sprinkler wire, neither of which is anywhere close to 300v.
I'm using 18/4 jacketed solid sprinkler cable just like the guy below. You said that was ok below? The video also calls for "a liquid tight cord grip connector". You're saying that shouldn't be used? This stuff is actually rated for 30 volts, not 300 though.
Confirmed! 18/4 solid sprinkler cable works just fine. I'm up and working. I also used one of these liquid tight fittings for the wall mount pump cable: www.amazon.com/Heyco-LIQUID-FITTING-INCLUDED-package/dp/B01CRE8Q6Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1525914246&sr=8-2&keywords=Heyco+M4518+RLTCG+1%2F2+NPT+BLACK+LIQUID+TIGHT+FITTING
