Have had this screen on my Kawa z400 for a couple of 1000ml now. I love it! Front end going backward? Nothing duct tape can't fix. It ain't pretty but works great. I find that the angle of my screen helps push down on my front wheel making the bike super stable at high speed. Blocks wind just to below my helmet. Exactly what I wanted as air can still flow into my helmet. Had a too tall screen on a VStrom and it was terribly hot behind it on a warm day as it had no airflow.
You're lucky with the 400 that there is so much space on the handlebar. I have the 1200 and there is very little room. The left side bar clamp goes on fine, but due to the positioning of the brake master cyllinder, the right is not possible to fit to. I got the Givi screen, which has identical fittings to this one, but has a more rounded screen. I've tried so many ways to try and get it to fit and finally gave up. Even tried fitting a support (cross-) bar to attach it to, but the lack of space on that right side killed that idea off, too. As the bike is on PCP, I can't mod it to make more space.
@ronishane No, for me the windblast is directed mostly around my shoulders, and some just beneath my helmet....ideal! It profoundly improves comfort at speeds greater than 60 mph (or 100 kph).
