Honestly thought that he would wish to bring back his master or family. But this is such a selfless act for him and now i have found a newfound respect for Jiren.
Bruh Jiren is a bad written character. He's an orphan who lived as a hobo for his entire life. His species is so stupiid that they lived in literal mud huts and got ☠️ for being trash/ fodder. I mean, the supposed "great evil" that ☠️ them is not even relevant to have a name. I suspect that it was Jiren himself who did it during their sleep in a fit of rage for being trash and told so. I bet his Super Shenron wish INITIALLY was an "incident memory wipe"... 17 got under his skin bad for no reasonable reason. I highly doubt that his attack on the stage was his only low point (apart from being worse than fodder, initially, doing all side quests to unlock physical immortality, aka like Roshi, and probably train for 10,000+ years to be so known by Belmod and over x10 the power of Hit, js). Js.
@@alphaterra-creation434 Facts and predictable deductions 50-50. You know he is from a shiit species that had no business becoming THAT. Turned him into a bad written character. You know the way Jiren survived Hit's Time Prision's initial punch to the hearth means that Jiren has indeed the Elixir that Master Roshi took or something stronger. Without main protagonist PLOT, him knowing Belmod for so long that can't be quantified means he is not 50-200 yo... he is passing the 10,000 yo ... of training. THINK, bro bro, think.
Honestly I think I would have preferred it. Dragon Ball has become so predictable. Having Goku take a big loss or at least letting Vegeta beat the big bad for once would be great.
I love the idea that the final clash didn't matter on the cosmic scale anymore. Whichever side won, the wish was going to be the same. At that moment, the fight was purely personal.
honestly i wish this was the ACTUAL ending for the tournament mostly so that another universe can actually show why its rated higher then u7 it would have been a rly nice ending too
@@gadrielvanorion9872you suggested we see why other unis are rated higher by seeing a different uni come out as stronger but mortal levels aren't about strength
Bit of a missed opportunity if you ask me I would of personally loved to have seen a “what if” story were another kind of wish was made resulting in the erasure of the entire multiverse Idk that might just be me but still can’t help but feel like certain what if stories played it safe
@@PolylabStudio like if frieza got the wish or something But even in other plots too like I know this is probably a lot but what if we had a butterfly effect choice making game like Detroit become human but it’s the dragon ball z story so you have the choice do you go down the canon path or do you make a brand new timeline from raditz all the way to kid buu
yeah i dont want to treat this as canon because it undermines the weight of the reveal that if the winner didnt wish to restore the other universes, their own universe would get wiped out anyways. it gave weight to the fact Goku was fighting to defeat Jiren beyond "Yo new strong guy dropped!!", and that it lead to Android 17 being the last one standing. and yeah, there was the whole aspect of needing to be the last universe standing in general if they wanted to live, but the story was strongly painting Jiren's ideals as flawed. He needed to be defeated not just to save universe 7, but because his outlook on life needed to be proven wrong. And if the story was gonna go out of its way to make Jiren represent a harmful belief that needs to be defeated, then i feel like that _should_ tie into the idea that the wish on the Super Dragon Balls is meant to test the ideals of mortal kind, and see whether or not the Zeno's should wipe the slate clean. Making it so Jiren would have absolutely made the wrong wish, gives more weight to the fact he lost. that his belief in power above everything would be proven wrong whether he lost to Goku, Frieza, and Android 17, or if he won and got erased with the rest of Universe 11.
Would have been cool if Jiren's version of the wish was like "Please bring all the beings (and their planets) that were deleted by this tournament into universe 11" (or like, spread across the remaining 5 universes) so it was slightly different from the Universe 7 wish, but had the same intent
Honestly, that's always what I thought 17's wish should have been in the first place, especially considering how the reason nearly all of team universe 7 was from Earth was because there were barely any other planets with advanced civilizations. It also would have made a great way for all of the new characters introduced in the tournament of power to be integrated into future story arcs.
I know he had to wish for the universes to return or else he would be erased as well but i find it rather disappointing they didn’t go with the manga’s way of Jiren wanting to revive his master and this became like a bad ending
So.. with this ending, for all universes Goku is the demon who brought the tournament of Power and Jiren is the hero who defeated him and brought back every universes
That's only anime wise. Manga wise Zeno-Sama wanted to erase the 12 universes and Goku at least suggested that there be a tournament between universes and that the strongest survives, that way at least, everyone has the possibility of being the only one to be saved... Thus turning Goku into an angel who gave everyone a second chance. In this case Goku would be the angel who unfairly loses but for being such a good person and convincing Zeno-Sama for a tournament, Jiren would have a deep respect towards him and Goku's wish for salvation so Jiren wished for the restoration of all universes.
@@rikybj0276OP is not alone in his rightful perception about Jiren. Allow me to elaborate a bit. Why he is a bad written character. He's an orphan who lived as a hobo for his entire life. Jiren most likely did all of the side quests in his U11 to try find strenght thinking that that will erase his original problem of being "trash and fodder". After fulfilling that he was looking for "What is beyond strenght" aka a memory wipe... during his quests tho he did found the Immortality Elixir... yeah like Master Roshi fyi... and is being training for probably 10,000 years to counter Hit's 1,000 age and being literally x10 Hit in Base power. 💯 Js.
Wait they have the GP's model in the game why do I get the feeling he might finally be playable with his own skills similar to how Xenoverse gave Vados and Whis their own skills
I call bullshit. Jiren was too full of himself to wanna wish the other universes back. He attacked innocent people in the stands & kept repeating might makes right. it took Goku kicking his ass for him to see the light.
