Valencia is a city located in the middle-east of Spain, on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. It is considered the third largest city of the Spanish State according to its population rate, 1.500.000. Valencia’s mild climate is another reason to come for a stay, its warm atmosphere is always inviting and hospitable. From March 15 to 19, Valencia is given over to a carnival of bonfires, fireworks and a healthy dose of satire known as “Les Falles”. Every day at 2pm firecrackers rip through the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in a noisy event called “La Mascletŕ”. On the other hand, the economy of the region of Valencia is focused on the agriculture, ceramic, toys and automotive sectors.
This is the Agora, university’s central square. Agora comes from ancient Greece, and means a public open space used for assemblies and markets. This may give you and idea of how our campus looks like. The Student’s Home, “La Casa del Alumno”, is a building with study rooms, student associations offices, pool and fotball tables, sofas, a marvellous terrace and much more. Our modern campus has modern security, as you can see. UPV strongly supports sports, and we can enjoy lots of sports facilities such as a big gym, an athletics track, a few football fields, the biggest indoor climbing wall of the region and even a beach volley court! In the eastern part of university, right beside the sea, we can find the CPI, Polytechnique’s Innovation City, a set of buildings which host some of the most important research groups and institutes of the UPV.
We are part of one the most well-regarded schools of the UPV.
It’s been more than 25 years since it first opened its doors and started instructing students from all over Spain. In our 25th anniversary, a Museum was located in our school in order to show how telecommunications have evolved until these days. It also has many labs where we can do our projects and practise with all the devices. Our school presents an Integrated Telecommunication Engineering Program and internships in companies are also a key point in the school’s program.
