Adamson looks like he is about 15. It's interesting: the Queens team has 3 science majors and the Jesus team has 3 humanities and 1 social science major. Both teams are unbalanced but Jesus was better in the end.

You got there in the end, but it was a bit of an effort! 3) Fairbrother has gone from being a Goth to the fifth Monkee... 4) In all the years I've watched all versions of UC, this episode has had the most interesting and broad-based questions ever. Very enjoyable having a crack at the answers. 5) Commiserations to Queens - it was a cracking match, and they had the ability to go much further, but what can yu do against a better general knowledge? Right, I'm going to have a cup of tea and a lie down now...

Not so. At 11:20. The correct answer is NOT Ullswater, but Brotherswater, then Ullswater some 4.5 miles further on down the valley, though none of them is a lake, only Bassenthwaite Lake has “Lake" in the title, but that's just an old pub quiz joke question. The other vehicular route up from the south is from Troutbeck and Windermere, not just Ambleside, which uses the shorter, steeper road known as the Struggle to gain the summit - you may have seen Sir Bradley Wiggins arrive last, on foot, up to the top on his last cycle Tour Of Britain on 06th September 2016. Wrong answer by Jeremy P. 11:20. The "correct" answer to the Lake District question given by Mr P is INCORRECT in that , "..to which lake to the north?" Well there are two lakes / bodies of water and if you know UC, MrP is a stickler for absolute detail. Therefore his researchers have given him only one of the two, and given him the furthest away lake for some reason. Windermere is south of Ambleside and the pub, so an incorrect answer from the team, Ullswater is 7 miles north of the Kirkstone Pass Inn (and to my mind the wrong "correct" answer), as the correct answer is the lake 3.5 miles north, between the inn and Ullswater which seems to have been forgotten by all. Aside from the pub-quiz fact that there is only one lake in the Lake District, Bassenthwaite Lake, all the others are meres or waters; of course. I'll not spoil your Google Search with the "actual correct" answer!

Irritated to find myself always rooting for any team with a female. It's annoying because it's just a reaction to the misogyny we always see in the comments, even for videos like this one, which you might reasonably expect to attract people with some intelligence or discernment. In truth, both these teams seemed likeable and very bright. The inexorable lurch to the hard right (and, worse, the far right) seems to have started when America had its first Black President. Reactionary forces on an international level have galvanized weak-minded and resentful people to do their worst online. It's easy to get silenced for 48 hours if you confront sexist mouth-breathers, so reporting them for hate-speech is a safer (and often less tedious) option. In fact, many of those comments fall foul of the anti-p0rn rules on here, which is depressing to see.
