Hey Jelena! Im glad to hear if this was helpful! These talking head videos can be a bit boring at times and im trying to incorporate a bit of vlog-style content into future videos - but i hope that these are ok in terms of the information. Oh and btw, i dont remember whether or not you were already a member of our Discord community. If not, and if you are interested in learning more about studying and working in Finland, i recently set up a discord server. The idea of the server is to build a community of people interested in studying and working in finland. In the server i post updates about my upcoming videos and live streams and answer peoples most frequent questions about these topics. If you are interested, you can join the server using this link: discord.gg/Py4T5CV

Hey Divij and thanks for the positive feedback as always! I actually already have a video about tuition fees in Finland right here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z_4VUUvODdM.html The video itself does not list the different tuition fees for engineering degrees, BUT in the description box of that video you can find a link to a free google spreadsheet where i have listed all finnish university degrees and their tuition fees. So check that out. Also, i would recommend that you check out this video where i talk about the different costs of studying in finland as an international student: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5MejDbyRbDc.html In that video i go through every single cost and fee that you should take into account when budgeting your stay in finland. I hope these help you get started 👍

Hey buddy!I wanna enroll myself for undergraduate program in Aalto University coming session but I am quite a bit nervous about whether I must give "SAT Subject Tests" along with "SAT Test" or not?I've looked everywhere in the internet but no where a perfect answer.I will look forward for your answer because most of the country/university suspended their requirements about SAT Subject Test for this pandemic situation. Thanks in advance:)

Hey man and thanks for the question! I can surely get you the answer to this question but i would need to know which field you are about to apply to. The application requirements and the tests depend not only the school but also the degree programme that you are applying to. So if you can tell me which programme you are looking at, i can find this information for you. I also recommend that you contact the Aalto admission services on this topic. They have all the up-to-date information and they usually answer pretty quickly. Their email is admissions@aalto.fi Also, if you are interested in learning more about studying and working in Finland, i recommend that you consider joining our Discord server. The idea of the server is to build a community of people interested in studying and working in Finland and on the server i post updates about upcoming videos and live streams. Hello bro I watch each and every video you post but I want to know between studying abachelors and masters in Finland who are more likely to get a part time job while studying
@RoadtoFinnish
@RoadtoFinnish 3 года назад
Hey Huzairo and thanks for the question. This is naturally is HUUUUUGE simplification but as a general rule of thumb, it is easier to get a part-time job (in your field) as a master's student. This is simply because companies prefer hiring people with more experience and expertise and master's students inherently have more of both compared to bachelor's students. Having said this, this is naturally dependent on the field, the company that you are looking to apply to, the job in question etc etc etc.. I know a huge amount of people who started working part-time already during their bachelor's, but then again, i also know people who didnt. So its all about your ability to pitch yourself to an interesting company.

Hey fatema and thanks for the question. this is a super wide topic and its impossible for me to give you an answer without knowing more about your background and the field that you want to study. The application requirements in Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences depend on the school and the degree so you need to first know what field you want to study and in which school.

Hey Soumya and thanks for the great question! Unfortunately i cant really comment that much on this myself because i have no personal experience. However, my brother is actually doing his phd at the university of eastern finland and we've been thinking about doing a few videos together talking specifically about doctoral studies in finland. If you want us to cover some of your questions, i would appreciate if you could list as many questions that you have about this topic here in the comments so that i can then plan our video based on them 👍 Also, if you are interested in learning more about studying and working in Finland, i recently set up a discord server. @@RoadtoFinnish Hey~ So my list of questions about PhD in Finland as a foreigner(who completed their Bachelors and Masters or Undergraduate and Graduate from their home country) are as follows: 1. What is the curriculum like for a PhD? Is it set like a curriculum (Like in USA) or is it flexible ? 2. What skills are prerequisite for PhD? 3. What does a typical day of a PhD student looks like? 4. Are we allowed to take international research projects during our PhD if given the opportunity? 5. How can we fund our research? 6. How are the years divided during the 4 year PhD? 7. What are the duties of a PhD student? 8. After completing our PhD, can we apply for a research position at the university? 9. What is the employment like after PhD? These are all for now~ Thank you for this opportunity. You are doing great work to bring awareness about the robust opportunities Finland has. Thank you, once again :D

This isnt to say that there arent degrees in these fields. I just couldnt find them myself. Sorry for not being able to help you more 😕

Can you please tell what's exam system in Finland? In india we have to submit assignments nd also have to give written exam of 100 marks... Is same system in Finland? Also what's ects?
@RoadtoFinnish
@RoadtoFinnish 2 года назад
Exams depend on the university, level of degree that you are doing, the courses that you are taking as well as the professor that is teaching. There is no set type or standard for exams. ECTS is the university credit system used in Finland. One credit represents approximately 27 hours of work. The average workload for one semester at university level is 30 ECTS credit points (60 ECTS for the whole academic year). In the end it depends on your home university how many ECTS credits you have to obtain per semester, since the sending institution is in charge of the approval of the courses.

Coz I already have bachelor degree in vocational studies in agriculture with education want to do masters in Finland but I fear I may come and fail to get part time job my view was should I do another bachelor degree in another field so that I can get apart time job
@RoadtoFinnish
@RoadtoFinnish 3 года назад
I do not think that doing another bachelor's degree would be valuable if your only reason for this would be to increase your chances on finding a part-time job. If you want to study a new bachelor's because you want to change fields - sure thats cool, but if its just about finding a part-time job, then no, i dont think that makes any sense. Do note that there are plenty of part-time opportunities e.g. in the service sector (restaurants, bars, cafeterias, retail stores etc..) and you dont necessarily need to get a job in your particular field - well i guess this depends on how much money you want to make.

How much percentage required in intermediate for getting admission in becholars degree in Finland
@RoadtoFinnish
@RoadtoFinnish 3 года назад
Hey Malik and thanks for the question. Unfortunately i cant answer this because i do not know what you mean with an intermediate percentage. Keep in mind that in Finland we have a completely different high school system to what you guys have, and the terminology and the grading that you use is also completely different. One more thing, even if you were able to convert your grades into an international standard, its impossible for me to answer this question. This is because there are no universal admission requirements in Finland. The admission requirements in Finland depend not only on the university that you are applying to (its harder to get into certain universities than into others) as well as on the programme that you are applying to. For example, if you compare two separate bachelor's programmes taught at Aalto University (say, engineering and economics), both programmes are going to have different admission criteria. This is why its impossible to give you any kind of a number or estimate.

@RoadtoFinnish

Hey Mustakin and thanks for the question. This depends on the school. Each university in Finland has unique application requirements and not all schools include an exam in the application. I would need to know a bit more about the schools that you are thinking about in order to give you a better answer.

Im sorry but i cant. This is way too wide of a topic.
