Regarding BS CS, university doesn't matter much now a days due to covid situation... Around 90% BS CS, students does know programming, focus on programming courses like C++, Java, C#.. Give your 100% in programming...
This is what I say phir in CS walon ki ego hurt hojati ha... BSCS is the most useless degree, you don't even require to get admission and literally people are spending lots of money on COMSATS, FAST etc to learn programming.

@@MuzahirAli1 bro, I recently had my 1st-year papers, and due to some reasons, I wasn't able to prepare well during the exam days. I had an aim to make my way to FAST or NUST, IN SHA ALLAH. Now, I'm guessing that I will get about 73-76%, almost. As we see, FAST merit is about 78% to make your way, and 40% of the marks of FSC are included in the aggregate. So, should I repeat my first year again to get more marks or continue my second year? If we talk about NUST, FSC marks don't matter. 75% of their own test is included, along with 10% of matric and 15% of 1st year. But I will only have one choice then. If I'm not able to go through it, my FSC percentage will not be enough for FAST, and I will have only one choice, NUST, and it will be do or die. So, should I repeat my first year? Consider what you would have done if you had been going through the same situation.
@@dramahighlights123 You don't have to worry bro. I'm also a CS student in CUI Lahore. And as of merit in Fast, yes it is 40% on your FSC marks. But don't worry. Aim to get more than 90% marks in FAST admission test which is not that difficult. Believe me, I've given it. Just prepare good and you'll get in easy. But, NUST is not something to be taken easy. NET is difficult to get excellent marks in. Prepare extra hard for that. Now coming to whether you should improve Fsc Part 1 or not, I think there's no need. Get good marks in part 2 to balance it and get around 83-85% and you're good to go in both universities. Best of luck. All of the above is confirmed with my cousin.
Final year pucit student here. Pucit has good faculty, and a very good outlook in market. You'll get interview calls from companies relatively faster. The rest depends on your own skill set. Good cgpa definitely gives you an edge. The only downside to pucit is it's culture. It won't groom you much on your interpersonal skills. You'll have to do that part yourself.
I am a Fastian and I absolutely agree with him. Fast had worst faculty, strict grading, intentionally failing students and no research. They only exhaust students and they don't listen to any of your complain. I highly recommend NUST AND LUMS if you can afford. Even COMSATS and PUCIT are much better than FAST.
@@randomuser8881 getting a decent job is based on skills. FAST can only get you to interviews. Some get very high offers upto 200k while others would have to settle down for a 25k internship too. I haven't failed any course, but many people did, and got their degrees delayed. Often most would end up with low CGPAs which means getting a good masters abroad is almost impossible. Things I said are still the same. The only benefit of FAST is that it can get you to interviews. But that's almost every good university these days.

Being a student of UCP, I wanna say that it is a very good uni. You will learn well and will grow amazingly. They put small pressure on students and teachers are very cooperative here.

Companies actually would consider people who have made a skill set themselves above those that have graduated from the likes of UOL etc. The reason being such universities show the companies you didn't have good merit, you weren't a serious student, and if you were not a serious student how would u study well if u r already not put pressure on, these universities don't put u thru tough spots. Plus u had the money to join such expensive universities, so the entire fault lies on your shoulders alone. So a person who didn't go to university would be held more under consideration than the ones that graduated from there.
@Hamza Saleem Just talking about the hierarchy of stuff, if it is just the university name u r worried about then I'm afraid this is the truth, if u have actually studied and made a PROVEN skill set, that's another thing.

@@CS-with-king Because FAST has its name because of only computational field and LUMS has only for its Management and Sciences but if we look overall as Arts Commerce Sciences Management and Technology and many other UMT would be a better option instead of FAST and LUMS far only for some specific programs
Stress level is also pretty high in PUCIT, the heavy complicated assignments, quizzes and tough labs, there is a lot of work load, your teachers would say "if you want to compete, you have to stay up nights". But hearing what FAST is it feels like heaven here. The redeeming point of PUCIT is the rich culture, art exhibitions etc around Old campus, sports week is also very fun, each class designs and wears their own track suit, there is a parade, a concert, so many kinds of sports. Other than that the entire year nothing big happens, the events are pretty small scale, it's like you are in school without uniforms.

I would recommend you to take admission in Nust...Its a lot better than fast and uet and For a brilliant person like you..nothing could be better than nust.

Let me clear you one thing. You have mentioned that UET's CS is not worthy. One of my friends had done his CS from uet last year in 2022. He said that almost 95% of this class got the job and he too got the job in Software company in Lahore. Also, he said that the people who only wasted their time in university also got the job because of UET tag. UET's CS degree is still worthy.
Comsats exhaust you so much.. We have exams 3 times in a semester with 4 - 5 assignments and 4-5 quizes every semester.. And for enjoyment we have only one week which is called student week and nothing else
Bro Litterally i don't agree with you on Low Quality CS from UET Lahore . It's an amazing University for CS. Better than UOL,COMSATS,UCP etc... It might be in past years but not now.
