Hey I go to community college so the orientation and the scheduling process is different. So I will be applying to UCF and I will be going as a transfer student and I wanted to know in the orientation you meet within an advisor and they tell you what classes you need? Please and thank you

Hi Amelia, I attended UCF from 2005-08 as a transfer from Valencia and there are advisors during orientation to help you with classes! If you didn't find one for your major, they would guide you to their office in particular. Hope that helps! Sorry I realized this was a year ago, but I hope you got in!

Watching this video almost makes me want to turn down my UCF offer, orientation looks crowded, full of lines, boring and just not worth it. This vid looks like going to Disney without the roller coasters and overall just sooooo tiring. It looked like they made you guys numbers instead of ppl. Also it looked like you were glued to your friend the whole time. I know it's just orientation, but don't you meet at least one new person during that??? I thought the college experience was about branching. Gosh, I just don't think I'm ready for that. Class of 2021, where has the time gone?!???!?!

UCF is so much more beyond the orientation! I’m a third-year student here and I’ve loved my experience. Maybe my amateur camera work didn’t properly capture the day well because there were many fun moments with my orientation group and leader. My friend I was with was my roommate. I did meet new people, but it was a personal decision not to record the new people I had met out of respect. The college experience is definitely about branching so I hope you can keep an open mind to it and know that your years at college shouldn’t be defined based on an orientation day! Hope all that was cleared up!
