Sister Helen Prejean, C.S.J. presented the Lester G. and Michael Lester Wendt Spring Character Lecture, titled Dead Man Walking: The Journey Continues, on Monday, March 30 at 7:00 pm in John and Alice Butler Hall of the Heritage Center.
An anti-death penalty activist and spiritual adviser to several individuals on death row, Sr. Helen is the author of Dead Man Walking: The Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty That Sparked a National Debate and The Death of Innocents: An Eyewitness Account of Wrongful Executions.
