This is a beautiful routine. My teenage daughter does guard and she was def inspired by this. There needs to be more recognition put on guard! Our school doesn't even fund our guard team.. our coach does it without pay. It's not right. It's def not an easy sport and they should get more credit for wat they do. Bravo ladies!
2:43 is by far my favorite toss of the entire show. The confidence and solidness and synchronicity with the music is awesome! No shade, but I can only assume this guard didn't win as the work was very reminiscent of stuff I was seeing/ doing in the late 90's. But it was a very solid show that reached emotional highs. Great Job.
Solid all the way across the board! Choreography, flags, rifles, sabres, uniform, and song were all simply beautiful. I didn't notice any drops, plus the timing was great but didn't feel too rigid. One of the best routines I've seen.
This was beautiful, I was in guard in high from 8th to the start of my senior year. Unfortunately I had a life changing horse accident, where my horse got spoked and started to buck, I landed on the road we were walking next to, I had a compound brake of my left arm. I lived 30min out of city limits so once I got to the hospital, I had to go straight into surgery, my bone came out the skin causing nerve damage and my ring and pinky fingers were paralyzed( no feeling, no motor movements). I did have a second surgery after high school( 2 years and muscle atrophy later) and my fingers do work now( first surgery doc didn't connect my severd tendons to my fingers) and a little more feeling, but sadly my hand will never be the same. I was crushed when I had to tell my coach to teammates that I no longer was able to perform. I felt like i let my team down, luckily they helped me through it. It's been 10 years and I still miss guard. This was a beautiful performance and loved how they express the performance emotions, I almost teared up.
I prefer the millitary style over the modern dance style. Great job on your performance. Very relaxing to watch. Wow the more i watch the better theyre getting. Ok nevermind i take back my first comment. Excellent job.
And they said football was hard... pffff please guard is the hardest sport EVER. Not only do we have to count, but we have to breathe, do the work flawlessly while counting and breathe all at THE SAME TIME without messing up. And even though we’re exhausted we still have to push through and catch some of the hardest tosses people could only dream of tossing and catching. Not only does this sport include dancing, but it’s basically cheer, dance, gymnastics and twirling a saber, rifle and flag at the exact SAME time while dancing.
The guard is amazing, our high school is looking for a guard instructor.. I would want someone like these ladies as our guard instructor because this is amazing 😍.
I personally had no idea what this was but I think it’s beautiful. Unfortunately they don’t have things like this in any high schools where I’m from, although if it did. I’d totally consider it.
THAT FIRST SABRE TOSS so funny. i think its supposed to be a 6???? a port 6? 2nd girl back on the right does a quad. the girl next to her on the right with curly hair does a 5. everyone else does a 6... so confusing. still an amazing show, just wondered if anyone else noticed?? slow down speed and count!!
rainbowmustache3 don't worry about it. I just finished championships and I had a solo and I'm in sixth grade!! I was so scared. You will do awesome though. I promise 😚😚

I’m kind of irritated because a guard at evaluations last weekend did basically this exact same routine. I noticed because I had watched this video previously and it was one of my absolute favorite routines. Then I proceeded to tell my team how they copied this show
