Once upon a time there used to be what was called the Ghanaian spirit. This attitude made Ghanaians work so hard without even looking at whether the government owed the responsibility of providing them with their basic needs. Hence, they were successful in boxing, football and all other areas their abilities took them through. Fast forward and there came democracy in this fourth republic where expectations have been so high that the government is even blamed for the natural rain not falling. Government has provided free education at the primary and high school cycles and yet we still expect this privilege to continue at the university level? Sometimes we are carried away by our quest for immediate gratification, forgetting that resources on ground at that point in time would not make it feasible. We should consider issues wholistically and critically so that we don't make decisions that would further deepen our resentments or plunge one into the pool of regrets for taking steps that were not meant to be. Economic hardship is global phenomenon and Ghana is no exception. If I had had the opportunity of free SHS, I wouldn't have left Ghana in 1993 for Nigeria. Ghana is relatively doing well, so let's be a bit patient with our leaders, especially this present administration. In the few couple of years to come the fundamentals being laid would be entrenched and the results would be there for everyone to be happy about.
😂with 60billion cedis, JM did all that he did for this country in 3.5 years. With over 600billion we still blame our problems on covid, russia ukrain etc. At 4 cedis to a dollar npp criticised the then administration. Today the dollar is 16 cedis. Criticised the then administration for going to imf, dumsor etc. Today tell us the story. Today, Ghana is the third country in the world to embark on the DDE program. As a university you should worry about this. They have taken this country from 120billion debt to 742billion. As a student you should be worried about that not about food stuff and hand outs.😂
We need people who can build a system that will take care of our problems but not leaders who will pocket monies meant for developmental projects and decide to pay fees or give rice to few students. There should be a policy or a system to deal with accommodation, security, transport, communication.....problems.
In our days University students fight politicians for good policies but now i dont know how our students are taught ...no critical thinkers.....the Me" politics is too much ....who is thinking about Ghana ? Ghana help the youth of this country . Listen to America electorates ..... Uk you will never the fitizens talking but the e- vote will tell ..
When students are dumb like this I wonder how this country will be in future. She paying your accommodation instead of her building more affordable hostels for students and you are here clapping for her I don’t know what to say. How many students can she pay for? But building more hostels will help all students not just giving money to Npp students.
You can't tell me that the people of ayawaso west wuogon are elite especially when their mp is Madam Lydia. That alone should tell you the people are educated illiterate The people are not savvy if they were , NDC should have won that seat .. how can people who claim to be educated vote for somebody who knows nothing about books and has never spoken in parliament? Vote for John Dramani Mahama and John Dumelo to develop the Area
Is He referring to the woman as he? or he has forgotten whom he is defending to be a woman. Hungry student only talking about money in all his statements. after school will she come and pay you sitting idle?
I don't know why majority of those being interviewed are NDC members. It will have been better to pick 3 from each Party than to pick a Deputy Youth Organiser of the NDC, 2 NDC Tain members and a member of the NDC. Comparing 2 members of the NPP
this guy talking about school fees is lying. 🎉🎉🎉come and ask we the students. supporting Tescon student, doesn't mean we those who don't belong to any party has received anything like that.
😂Assesse your own economy and make a valuable choice. The country is sinking and needs experienced hands to salvage. I flew down to Ghana to vote for Nana in 2016. In 2020, i flew back to Ghana again but was disappointed when sods were cut for projects in November which i considered a failure. So i refused to vote. Many of those projects have never taken off. The citizens have been starved so much that people can not think properly. Students especially in higher institutions should think outside the box not these primary school ideas of food and minor issues. Examine you own economy and make a valuable choice. Ghana needs experience hands.
Your ignorance far above the roof and it's beyond correction. Even as you were typing to show your Ignorance, do you know the number of graduates engaged in various aspects Agriculture? Who even told you Agriculture ( farming) only means holding of cutlasses or macthets? You want I.T? Oh Ghana!
I don't see why some people quarry about voting. Everyone with how he or she sees, thinks , looks at things . Why you're thinking about hardship I am thinking about something else and see hardship as normal. You cannot force everyone to come along with you.
How could educated people, and for that reason university students who should understand where the world is moving towards vote for a party made up of people like Wuntumi, John Boadu, Napo and Bawumia against personalities like Mahama and a whole female vice chancellor, highly educated and credible woman with a good track record.
The problem with NDC is that they are not learning. Their policies are not youth friendly. Education and employment policies is not coming from the ndc. This is why they are not winning in the educational institutions
Buying phones and paying small small Paying pastors and chiefs are the friendly programs?? Bawumia is not the problem but you the citizens. A government that took our debt from $122 Billion to $740 Billion but very little to show has a good policy???
