He commited carrer suicide during the height of the George Floyd stuff and being a country star it's impossible to recover since CMT is being more legit woke and AS never put up with that shit to begin with. At least his discography will always be baler.

there was a time when I just assumed he was ahead of the Country game by deconstructing sterotypes and "The American Dream" then it turns out.... MAYBE he wasnt joking.... Still love his music, just always look at it from a comedic/parody angle and I pray that's what he was going for.
It was and is mate, theres some videos of him out of character. Sucks what happened, stupid on many levels, but it what it is ya know. But I've went to two of his show and met him both times, and he was a stand up nice and genuine guy both times. Like straight forward nice caring guy ! I just hope he was able to build some wealth up of some good degree lol
@@herehere3139 Okay see I saw him once live also and that's how I felt. Like he was just "going along" with his persona and people took that out of context. I still listen to his music basicaly daily!
This is a classic example of what turned me against country music. Gotdam, do they know any different chords or melodies ? Obviously not ! The sound alone is extremely irritating !
