this is deadly. hope the album is all just jams in this vein, they need a long version of If You're Going to Break Yourself, and the end of Ministry of Alienation is just asking for a sax to slay that just as it cuts off.

The re-invention of UMO!!

If y'all vibe this sorta apocalypse jazz I strongly recommend Ole by John Coltrane (or Ole by Pharoah Sanders if you want) and Junk Blues by Joe Henderson

This track really puts me in a place. It makes me feel like a P.I. hot on a suspects tail in a foggy, rainy metropolis. The basement floor bars are smoking and everyone within evokes a feeling of deception, taking my attention away from the one I'm looking for. @ 6:40 I enter an alleyway between two apartment complexes to not only find the one I'm looking for, but I find death waiting for me as well. I unknowingly feel something blunt slide into my chest cavity and look up from my wound to find not only the predator wanted for murder I was hunting, but I realize as I spill out onto the wet black reflective pavement littered with the reflections of flood lights and a single red traffic light that this person is my spouses father, which of whom disliked my being for reasons of which I'll never know.

One of their best tracks for sure.
