When the hat dropped 10:50 he was finally free to drum at full power😌✨️ Love this band so much, cried last weekend seeing them in Seattle, the energy was amazing! Ruban is one of the best writers out there, what a legend!
I'm a new fan of UMO. Maybe a year or so. Don't know how I missed them, but I'm older, probably older than any of their fans. 65. This kind of things happens with us older folks. Anyway, I've caught up fast and know all their music or should I say Rubans music. One thing I just don't get is why Ruban is so infatuated with the LoFi sound? My favorite artist ever is R. Stevie Moore, the Godfather of Lofi, DIY whatever. He had no choice but to record lofi. UMO sound so good live, although his guitar is rather distorted along with his mic. I really don't dig the new album at all because the recording is so muddy. Im contemplating seeing them on 4-21 in Philly. Will it be good? Or will it sound like I have my fingers in my ears? Oh and for any purists who think how dare I criticize Ruban, well I know he could do so much better. They sound really good at this show. Especially the drums and bass.
