I actually came by this information and the "Blacks" in Europe via a Hebrew Israelite brother. Many of these "books" that they resource and reference are thousands of dollars and generally aren't readily available for general public consumption. • With that said, I found it extremely interesting when it was mentioned about skin color and the "caste" system that was created as a result.. I descend from crypto-jewish Iberians in New Spain. My ancestors ran a slave trade in Nuevo León until about 1820. I descend from a Spaniard and an African woman, circa 1730 in Montemorelos Nuevo León, where my ancestors owned haciendas.
Excellent points in this vids. Spanish slavery differed from US chattel slavery. They kept the families together more..they also breeded and intermarried more with the slaves. They bred the color out of some and intertwined them into the family which created separation and gave the lighter skinned ( with more Spanish features) preference in treatment which divided the slave population. Why do you think Mexicans ( and other " Latinos" ) to this day make such a big deal on their last names? Last name identied what status you had in the Hacienda system according to the prominence of the family which spawned them.
Since their families were kept together in slavery, you can clearly see when they come over here how much compliance Mexican men get from their women and the strength of their family structures...very interesting!
That is false. Families were not always kept together. I'm Mexican and all my ancestors were slave owners in New Spain, now Mexico. Many were sold and bought. I have records. There are books. Slaves sometimes ran away as well to other parts in Mexico and what now is Central America. There was no difference between USA slavery and Spanish slavery.
He really does need to read it. Slaves actually would runway just like those in the USA to be free. There was no difference between Anglo and Spanish slavery.
This is a great video. It's good to get context on the differences in North and south American slavery. I remember watching Apocalypto a few years ago and felt that maybe the Europeans helped curb the violence in the movie. It looks like the movie needs a sequel highlighting the horrors Europeans inflicted.
The whole point of the movie “Apocalypto” was to suggest a glimpse of what life might have been like for the Natives before the Europeans arrived. As their descendants, we are all familiar with the horrors the Europeans inflicted, including conquering these civilizations and erasing our Native American history. No sequel is needed, the European conquest/history is taught to us in school.

I remember back in 2010 seeing the documentary "Black in Latin America " by Professor Henry Louis Gates and he had a segment on Mexico and Peru and there was a saying of th "black grandma in the closet". The problem is, nearly all the homeless we have in the usa have serious addiction issues. I tried to help several homeless out by providing housing and food and counseling but i was betrayed every time. now, if i know for sure someone is homeless through no fault of their own and want to get back on their feet, I am happy to help. I do have one friend that purchased a travel trailer and has it parked on my land. i'm not charging him anything cuz that sort of negates the help.
