Tips for running a North American style freighter: press and hold door close until the door is completely closed, then press your floor. :-)

Is the mall crummy or is it nice, or ok? I live in Toronto, I've passed by that mall a few times! I also know it's at Allen Road Expy and Lawrence! I might want to see it some day! So that's why I want to know if it's worth it.

Crummy for the most part. Good grocery store but the rest isn't great I was occasionally asked to work in one of the stores

Likely a Schindler (as the rest of the mall consisted of early Schindler up until fairly recently). These are ThyssenKrupp mods

That cab is very dark and it has got a very high ceiling. The floor indicator looks like it is a generic modernized part. That beeping sound it makes when it passes the floor is quite an annoying feature. Doesn't this elevator have a stop switch? The previous ones all sounded an alarm. I guess they try to discourage people from using it. I do like the gate design.

The original elevators in this place were all old Schindlers (with fixtures similar to these - i.ytimg.com/vi/ajdxiRo3Aac/maxresdefault.jpg ) The old Zellers had 2 of them - one on each side of the escalator. Both sets of office elevators had them too. This is probably a Kruppy Mod as others have suggested.

in Canada the freight elevator is not good to ride!!, only employees who have something big get to ride the fright elevator only
