Do you know how Mississippi is able to get away with denying jury trials? That seems like it could not be a more obvious violation of the 6th amendment which guarantees the right to an impartial jury trial for all criminal prosecutions.
Fully agree. Three steps further. 1. Remove the mute function. 2. Have the camera auto record when removed from the charging bay till the time it is returned to the charging bay. 3. Have the upload of the contents to a third party site, not controlled or associated by the government. Just my thoughts.
@@thehighlander6378it’s not really necessary, but it should be their policy to not stop recording or mute when they accept a call or come on the scene, the district will redact or edit foia requested footage anyways and redact or edit out private information or “sensitive” or otherwise legitimate information they can tamper with regardless.

District judges or magistrates don’t actually have to have much legal knowledge and are not required to have a law license so it’s easy for them to just take the side of the police because they believe that the police are the authority. You never know when the FBI is investigating they never tell you until a search or arrest has initiated. So it's absolutely inaccurate to state the FBI "refused" to investigate. FYI, when you do know the answer to that, it's already too late. That is the beauty of that department!

@@New-tu3mn deadly force is justified based on the situation, it isn't an authority handed to officers, in the same situation if an officer is justified to use deadly force then so is a citizen. You are allowed to use reasonable and necessary force when you have a reasonable fear of imminent serious bodily harm or death to yourself or another from illegal force being used. The standard is meant to be the same for both officers and citizens.

"Bar" is used as a metonym for the institution of Law, i.e. referencing the division between officers of the court who have been accepted by their peers as practitioners of law, and the public at large, from which a jury pool would be selected. Beside that, it may surprise you to learn that the American legal justice system (while certainly not beholden to any codes or statutes not written in A) the Constitution, or B) the charter document of whatever jurisdiction one finds themselves in) is based on English Common Law, which is of course the basis of British Law, and the basis of essentially all modern Western legal systems. So while you're wrong... You'd still look pedantic at best even if you weren't.
As an addendum to my last comment about the gentleman misunderstanding the meaning of the "bar," any locale in which a presiding judge doesn't need to pass a bar exam, or at least SOME standardized assessment of knowledge of the law and fitness for public office, is not a location that any sane adult should willingly live in. I understand that historically, there would certainly be some jurisdictions that wouldn't necessarily have any residents who have passed the bar exam, e.g. jurisdictions that have wide swaths of mostly unpopulated, rural land, but why would anyone be willing to accept a lack of a standard for their judges? To make a dumb pun... You have to set the bar somewhere!
