Not really a big fan of fighter games like this, but I'm glad you're having fun Fruit!

All basic attacks are usually identical, most combo's have similar patterns that experienced fighters can learn without even practicing, and learning your specials is a must for closing the bap between skill levels. The only advice I can give you is to fight solely with your d-pad. It makes specials/complex combos much easier to sequence. And to train primarily with one main character. Yes you need to learn two others but you need to learn a main first and then you can focus on training with the others PS. the only way to compete with some of these fighters is learn your attacks and have quicker reaction times. I played with Triborge in MKXL until his entire move set wasn't just memory, but reflex. And it paid off.

At 11:08 you didn't stop blocking, you just got hit by a low attack. Low attack require u to block low which is diagonal back.

Mr fruit I have a Overwatch custom game idea! It's a pokewatch game mode. Only this time is a route game style. Use a payload map and have your team of 5 ready. As you progress though out the map other trainers will challenge you! When you reach the end you'll have a final battle with your rival. This is just an outline so feel free to add or edit things if you choose to use this idea.

I would 110% be up for a Master/Sensei stream with Blue where he teaches you (I've seen the mans twitter, either matchmaking is pinning him against noobs, or he's a god), and you just practice for like 4 hours or something. If your up for it, it'd be a cool idea to do this like once a week, for a number of months (maybe like 3-4), and keeping the VODS, so when you get to what you consider a really good rank, you can do a hour-ish long "Started from the bottom..."-esqe highlight video, showing your progress from here to the top. There are two blocks crouch block and regular block, one blocks low attacks and the other blocks high one's.

If I could give you some tips I’d say this 1. Go to the training room! Mess around a bit and learn some new combos 2. Commit those combos to muscles memory that way when you’re in combat you’re not button mashing or thinking about what buttons you’re pressing 3. Use your R2 to close distance between your opponent

Hey Fruit, some tips from a guy who sorta plays fighters but mostly watches people who *really* play fighters, the reason you’ll “randomly stop blocking” is attacks come from different places - high (overhead, like when Trunks swings his sword down for instance), mid & low. Blocking while standing blocks high and mid, but leaves you open to low attacks, and crouching while blocking defends against low and mids, but leaves you open to highs. Most, if not all auto combos (mash square) don’t have high attacks, so it’s safest generally to crouch block and just watch for overhead attacks. And on that note, try to figure out which of your moves are highs, then use and combo off those to mix people up. In the event that someone tries to use a jumping attack or super dash, learn your anti-air moves, those have crazy priority over air moves and most times you’ll beat out their move. Also, you can’t switch out characters while you’re being hit. Looking forward to seeing you play more of this, as far as I can tell this is one of the more beginner-friendly fighters, but there’s always a learning curve. And truth be told, a big reason you’re maybe not doing so well is that it’s a pretty new game, meaning that everyone started at the same rank, including the amazing players.

Mr Fruit, You're actually doing well for a starter. Just a couple tips: wake-up attacks from prone are usually a bad idea at the start. You're likely better off blocking until your skill level increases. Second (and far more importantly) there are 3 "zones" of guarding; low, mid, and high. You have to crouch to block low zone attacks, and stand to block high attacks, while both will block mid attacks. Most of the blocks that failed that I saw in the vid were low. But don't worry, you can crouch right after a block to continue blocking low. that's one of the main things with fighting games, mixing up where you're attacking from to get through their guard. Keep practicing Mr. Fruit, you can do it and improve even more!

Just keep playing and do some videos of you training! I actually really want to see more from you. Just pick 3 and stick with them. Beerus, and 2 others you really like. Goku SS is easily to learn, and Adult Gohan isn’t bad either I think. Practice a few simple combos on training dummies, and if you streamed it we could help too! Plz more!

Hey Mr. Fruit, a little bit of advice on your matches. Pick your favorite characters, doesn't matter why you like them. Just pick the three you want. Then stick to them until you've mastered those three. Practice with them non stop, and only play as them in matches. Once you've mastered the three, then you can throw a new guy into the mix. Master the new guy, with two other previously mastered characters as back ups to him. Then you can continue that cycle. This is how you master tag team fighters. You showed lots of promise, but you character hop and it ends up hurting you.

Every character is op when fighting mr.fruit. It's good though, because when mr fruit enters a tournament all characters become "tourney illegal" and he wins by default.

I would highly recommend picking 1 or 2 (3-4 for this game) characters and STICK TO THOSE CHARACTERS!!! Sure try all of them out and enjoy the diversity, but make sure you have a foundation of characters you are comfortable with. I know that gets boring, but you aren't comfortable with fighting game mechanics enough to master a character your first fight. Pick one, learn the game, get comfy, then start adding new characters to your list of "mains". You don't want to always be going into a fight thinking "I don't know what my moves are." Don't give up Mr. Fruit!! You can do it! Just stop handicapping yourself with unfamiliar characters until you get the basics down.

Great video! Couple of fighting game tips for you... Most games (including this one) have a regular block and a low/crouch block that you need to match to attacks. Also, you won't have much success holding one block for a long time. All blocks eventually break and leave you vulnerable to be manhandled. You need to time short bursts of blocks and follow up with counterattacks.

I'd be down for seeing more of it one the channel; all that matters is if you're enjoying yourself, win or lose. That's what keeps me coming back.

Fruit we're hear to listen to your commentary while you play not watch you win. What's nice about being bad is that you have a lot of room to grow and could have the channel watch you improve, maybe since you said blue was familiar with fighting games maybe you could do a video where he watches you play kind of does a friendly roast but also gives you pointers so that the audience could have some comedy while watching you grow into a better fighter. (easy for me to say when i'm not uploading videos of me everyday)

I myself do not have very much knowledge when it comes to fighter games besides Naruto lol. But I can give one tip, just watch out for crouch kicks while blocking. If you are in a stand up block and the enemy does a crouch hit, the block with not help unless you are crouched as well. As always great video Fruit!

I sympathize with you, Mr. Fruit. Not a single game has made me rage as hard as a fighting game. These games features ways to continuously combo people from full health to dead without any mechanical means to break out of it. It's severely rage inducing.

Remember that you can punish super dash with crouch H, then super dash after for a full combo. If your opponent is super dashing too much, you can punish them for it. Also, 16's last resort super only hits grounded opponents.

I feel you fruit, a life time spent on fps games has left my fighting game skills...somewhat lacking. But then I found guilty gear xrd Rev 2, and while I still suck, finding a fighting game I enjoy is giving me the motivation to get better. I believe in you man, just gotta find some characters you enjoy, see how they tick and never forget down block and regular block

a really useful feature in training mode is the ability to record some actions, so for example press LS on the xbox controller then smash light attack really fast for a bit and press LS again, then when u press RS the AI will do what u recorded in this case it will come at you with some autocombo. That's a way to train and practice against some techniques u struggle against. Try at least to be comfortable handling people that button smash autocombo and spam super dash

When using kid buu, run him as opener. Open with the full on heavy attack combo>candy>energy rain. Easiest way to farm wins with him.

i know im a little late but hit is a mainly ground characters; only one of his abilities can be used in the air, also if you get even a little good with him you can be undefeatable.

Fruit use your heavy attacks(Circle/circle down) when someone dashes into you while blocking to counter into your own combo. Also you can try to time circle down to counter dashes.

Don't worry Fruit, Fight Games are the first genre I've seen you struggle with but you'll get better with time. As long as you're getting to play as a Dragon Ball character, you never really lose; even if it's Yamcha

Hi mr fruit im a big fan of yours and I have some tips to five you of you want.I am also knew in this game and me neither have any experience in fighting games.The combo I use and I find the most effective with all the character s is the following:start with r2 then mash some light and medium attacks while in air use a hard attack to bring him back to earth and then end with some supers. Hopefully this works for you, keep up the good work and carry on bro!
