UTA are just a special band. They are all amazingly talented, and just make the best power metal out there IMO. They're also pretty big nerds, interact with fans regularly and stream on Twitch all the time. Solid choice!

This band is unbelievable. So many great songs. Apex is the closing track on this album. EPIC. Give it a try. Or Dreamcrusher from Time Stands Still album. Their newest album Abyss is wall to wall great. Abyss,Faster Than Light just to name a couple from that album. You cannot go wrong with any of their songs.

Here's a vague breakdown to give you a bit of context behind this songs lyrics and the album it's from - Apex(2017). This is a concept album telling a story track by track about an Immortal being. This is the opening song on the album. It is sung from the Immortals perspective(not all the tracks are), about being awoken in his mountain hollow from a 1000 year sleep. As a covenant of birth, the immortal must do the bidding of whoever awakens him. As the tracks progress, you find out that The Matriarch(which is played by the male vocalist in this song Awakening) was the one to awaken him. She wants him to find her four sons, so she can kill them and perform a blood ritual to gain immortality for herself(pretty dark haha), and his journey to find them. Each son has their own song about them on the album. The closing song Apex, is about the immortal going back to sleep in his mountain and it is a phenomenally written song. Their new album which came out in August, is a continuation of this story, and the immortal has awoken on a spaceship confused as hell wondering where tf his mountain is lol from the single Abyss. I won't go into the rest of the album lol

I'm 52 Favorite band Queensryche. This band is special and sometimes it just happens but I was a teenager in the 80's and trust me, there's millions of us who'd go back and do it again. The 80's is when the music industry exploded. SNL Eddie Murphy, MTV, Michael Jackson, Hair Metal, Van Halen, Who shot JR?, Anyway.

Hey guys! Just wanted to pop in for a bit, and watch your reaction! This song, Awakening, is, like I've already read, just the tip of the iceberg. Y'all have opened up a box, and only gotten through the first layer of how good this band really is. Some information that may have come out since you recorded this is that Unleash the Archers won a Juno Award (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy) for Best Hard Rock/Metal Album of 2020, for Abyss. Speaking of Abyss: Both Apex and Abyss, as albums, are concept albums, that tell an entire story, from start to end. The song you heard here, Awakening, is about a character named the Immortal, who is cursed from birth to live forever, but while he is awake, he serves the "creature who awakens me." In this story, that dubious award goes to the Matriarch, a power-hungry and mad woman who awakens the Immortal to find her four sons, and bring them to her alive, so she can go through a blood ritual and achieve basically godhood. PS: And because y'all were asking, Scott, the drummer, had what I think are called "Aqua Socks" on his feet. Aqua Socks are designed to be able to grip the bottom of a pool or other hard surface when wet. They look like normal socks, because underwater, you don't want Aqua Socks to be all big and bulky. But why Scott was wearing them is to grip his bass drum pedals with his feet.

As far as the growls are concerned. If you listen to the entire album and catch that it is a single story you will understand that the growling vocals are a character switch in the story

they actually opened for Dragonforce haha so there ya go. They are amazing. If you want something with that level of energy I'd recommend you do Soulbound off their new album - cool video with it. To see how amazing they are at songwriting and just full tilt The Wind That Shapes the Land off their new album will give you more of a picture of just how much they are capable of - but it's not as quick paced banger as Soulbound, but a deeper fuller song . Then there's a dozen other great songs they have too.

They are so great. Subbed in hopes of more UTA or You guys should really check out Nightwish. Epic band. Fantastic band - try Anything really from the Waken concert - best concert ever!!! Most start with Ghost Love Score or Story time. You would not regret it.

You mentioned anime. Well the opener for Attack on Titan Season 1 was inspired by the metal band Epica... They even did a cover of that theme (Crimson Bow and Arrow)... But you should also check out their song Consign to Oblivion live st Paris

If you like a sweet mix of clean and growl, I'd recommend Jinger. Pisces (Live Session) is usually their gateway track. I'd label them as progressive metal. I didn't notice them in your vid catalog.

I'll break this to you gently . . . her range is quite a bit bigger than tis. Brittney is a classically trained mezzo-soprano with a four octave range. You mentioned Iron Maiden and Brittney lists Dickinson as one of inspirations, along with Tate, Dio and Halford. Should do Tonight We Ride next, has a Mad Max themed video. You also need to check out Nightwish for sure, the lead vocalist is as good as Britney while being more versatile. Nightwish are Symphonic Metal and are probably the most reacted to band on YT. BTW, Floor Jansen (Lead Vocalist) does a cover of Shallow that rivals Lady GaGa's original!
