Here are some of the most impactful feats for the Barbarian class in Dungeons & Dragons 5e, and how they enhance the class's core strengths:
Great Weapon Master
This barbarian feat offers a significant damage boost by allowing you to take a -5 penalty to your attack roll for a +10 bonus to damage if the attack hits.
The risk of the -5 penalty is mitigated by the Barbarian's ability to gain advantage on attacks through the Reckless Attack feature, increasing the chance of hitting even with the penalty.
This feat also allows for a bonus action attack when you score a critical hit or reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a melee weapon attack.
The increased critical hit range from the Brutal Critical class feature at 9th level synergizes well with Great Weapon Master by increasing the chance to trigger a bonus action attack.
Polearm Master
This feat enhances the Barbarian's battlefield control and action economy.
It allows for a bonus action attack with the opposite end of your polearm, which benefits from your Strength modifier and Rage bonus damage. It also grants an opportunity attack when a creature enters your reach.
Polearm Master synergizes well with the Rage feature since the bonus damage applies to all attacks, including the additional attacks granted by the feat.
Sentinel
This feat further enhances the Barbarian's battlefield control and ability to protect allies.
Creatures provoke opportunity attacks from you even if they take the Disengage action, preventing enemies from safely escaping your reach.
You can also use your reaction to attack a creature that attacks a target other than you within your reach.
When you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, their speed is reduced to 0 until the end of the current turn, which allows you to stop enemies in their tracks.
Like Polearm Master, Sentinel benefits from the Rage feature's bonus damage to all attacks, including opportunity attacks.
Tough
This feat increases survivability, a crucial aspect for the Barbarian's role as a damage sponge for the party.
Tough grants 2 hit points per level, which are added retroactively to levels you've already gained.
The increased hit points from this feat synergizes well with the damage resistance gained from Rage, as well as any defensive features offered by Barbarian subclasses.
The sources also list Mobile, Alert, and Lucky as noteworthy feats that can enhance a Barbarian character. The best feat choices for your Barbarian will ultimately depend on your desired playstyle and the specifics of your campaign.

I think the challenge with AI scripts here is that they spend 3 minutes making a big deal out of how a Barbarian should have Str, Con, and Dex, and what they do... even saying at some point "many players don't know this." The AI is trying to make the basics sound like esoteric wisdom, and taking too much time on it. I'm always curious at what AI does better than people, and what people do. And I big thing here I think is that humans (that actually have experience with a thing) are much better at emphasizing relevant and important details, rather than getting stuck in common knowledge. Tip on the images though: the images are movie way too quickly (even when I take the video off my habitual 2x speed) and the transition is way to jarring. Makes me to pop over to another tab and just listen because the visuals are too busy.

Noted and noted! We might be sending TOO MUCH info... it's a balance, for sure. I think it adds its "general knowledge" to what we send it too. Just had a few ideas, though... And good to know on the images! Going so fast, I have to generate a TON which is getting costly! Haha. So, doubling them maybe would solve a couple problems. Thanks so much for taking the TIME! I wish I could do more, but here's a free novel if you like the Roguelike genre at all... www.amazon.com/Roguelike-LitRPG-Book-Paul-Bellow-ebook/dp/B084JNNZ6V Have a great Sunday!

As a barbarian lover, I couldn't even watch the whole thing, sorry... Posted two days ago but using a middling 2014 subclass to describe the entire class, and talking about 2014 feats (I checked my 2024 PHB on the new great weapon master feat, the -5 +10 is gone)... I get it, the 2024 update just dropped, maybe you want to continue with 2014, and thats fine... But if that was the case, the 2014 bear totem warrior barbarian (arguably the best tank in 2014 edition with resistance to all damage except psychic) would've been a better subclass to cover, especially since this was listed as being for tanks ffs, not the 2014 berserker. I honestly lost track of everything i would like to correct.

Great point! Old data is not good and things did change recently. We've been covering D&D and more since 2017, so we've got a lot of old data. Other videos have said "too vague!" so we went super specific this time... but wrong edition! Or at least didn't SAY which edition we're talking about. So, thanks for taking the time to write out this comment and help us. If you're a fan of the Roguelike genre at all, here's a novel I wrote (which wasn't easy to do!) And yes, it's human written. :) www.amazon.com/Roguelike-LitRPG-Book-Paul-Bellow-ebook/dp/B084JNNZ6V In all seriousness, though, thanks for taking the time to verbalize the problems so we can improve. Appreciate it! May your Sunday be groovy...

Any way you want to write a guest post for LitRPG Reads ... you could even lambast our other article?!?!? I dunno. You seem to have DEEP knowledge of the barb, and I'd love to share it on my platform. No worries if not!
