In this tutorial, I used the DJI Mic 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder for Camera & Smartphone. The system includes two mics and one receiver. Instead of attaching the receiver to my Mirrorless camera, I opted to use the internal memory of the camera to record my voiceover. Later in post-production, I downloaded the recorded voiceover and synchronized it with the video to match the audio captured by the mic on the camera.
To connect my smartphone to the camera, I needed a mirrorless camera with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth capability, allowing me to operate remotely from my phone. The wireless connection between the phone and the camera started losing connectivity at around 30ft, but it still recorded the video without issues. The mic, on the other hand, worked well up to 50ft.
This setup is excellent for recording tutorials indoors or outdoors, as well as conducting interviews without excessive background noise.
