For reference a mk8 GTI Clubsport comes with 300ps (400nm torque), R has 320ps, R 45 year edition has 333ps - all from factory with the next generation of this EA888 engine. No surprise then that they are so happy to be chipped 😎
Mbuguas review on the leg room was judged based on the front passenger seat which was pushed more than normal backwards. As you can see from a side profile, the seat is past the B pillar. Legroom is plenty in this car especially for Mbuguas height
The top trim of the VW Golf is the Golf R which is faster and more trilling than the Golf GTI. You can consider doing a review of the Golf R and compare with a GTI tuned to the 2nd or 3rd stage of tuning.

Two things, Wokabi was extremely soft with the break pedal, also if you try on a Toyota, it will break at 100M otherwise you will land in Kimende escarpment
34m braking distance is super good ..watch car wow and you will see the kinds of porsche 911 GT4 and those other supercars stops from 100km/h at 30-38m and they are super cars
Wokabi buy a timing device you can hook to car computer for doing acceleration and lap tests (like the one Watson uses in car wow) relying on phone app and handler is not efficient
I disagree with some of the comments -31:33 'not looking for practicality' - fix boxes/suitcases/jerrycans in the boot, door openings, getting in/out and compare with similar hatchbacks (1 series/mazda 3 etc). Golf will shine. 32:08 'not looking at keeping it for 8/10 years' - who doesn't want to keep his GTI the longest? Try and look for a well kept MK4 GTI or VR6 Corado and tell us how much it costs. Because like you well said, they are not for daily use, prob from Fri to Sun, they should age very well. Veedubs have exteriors and interiors that hold out very well.
Fair enough 👍 on point one you are spot on, we did a wholesome review of the car video up on the channel and must say it is decent enough on point 2 guys who are buying this cars for what they do which is performance unless they are tuning them they will sell them as soon as the next better one is launched
Golf R comes in at a totally different price point too. It’s simply put a GTI that’s seriously tuned up, given all wheel drive and beefed up suspension all from factory. When buying new they are not aimed at the same buyer pocket-wise
