hi! would you say the bass sounds on this unit are better than the zoom b1 four? i don't need all the filters and effecty stuff, i'm talking about the sound quality of the drives, amps, comps and maybe a serviceable octave. Thanks! very useful videos!
Well the ZOOM B1 Four defiantly has more Bass effects in it for sure. Its specifically for Bass. The Valeton, & most others are primarily for Guitar. Lets say that there is about 85% or so Electric Guitar then a bit of Acoustic Guitar Stuff & Bass. With that being said, especially since you don't want any of the Filters & other effects "I love the Bass synths sounds in the ZOOM Units" then by comparison I would say the they are pretty even. The Drives Amps are pretty comparable, but with the Valeton you can import your own Custom I.R.'s, with the Zoom B1 Four you cant. I actually have videos on all of the sounds of the ZOOM B1 Four also. You can check them out & judge for yourself. Tone is quite subjective. What I like....you might not, & the is not only O.K.....but awesome. It would be so boring if we all sounded the same.
Awesome demo 😎🤘🏻🎸 I really dig the effects on the valeton gp200. I personally liked the distortion and modulation effects. I’ve been thinking about purchasing one for my bass.

I’ve had the GP100 for a while, and gigged with it some. I believe it’s the same effects as this 200. It’s good especially for the price, but I kept going back to my analogue board. Everything sounds good, but somehow, not AS good. Plus, if you have to make changes on-the-fly, I feel like I need an IT guy to navigate the menus (and I’m too blind to read the screen), but these problems apply to any multi-effects.
@@SeattleSam-ul5hr yeah I see what you mean. I originally was gonna purchase a multi-effects processor for my bass, but I’ve decided to stick with pedals I own for my backup pedalboard. Right now I plan to purchase a new distortion pedal and a tuner pedal.

@@mikedproducer Definitively. I received mine and need not to even read manual...... right from the start I was making my patches and connected external pedals I already had. You will definitively not be dissapointed. I love the pedal and the Wah, and the easyiness to use it, its big colorized screen. It is much more than I expected.
Thanks for the overview. Does the GP-200 also includes a bass Octaver and if yes can it track down to Low B, A and maybe G (third fret on E-string) without silly noises?
I know you don't usually go too in depth on any effects but it would be rad if you spent more time dialing in and fiddling with the Bass OD (the yellow one). It appears to be based on the Boss ODB3 and I am curious how close the Valeton is to the Boss.
No....& Yes lol The unit does have 2 XLR & 2 quarter inch outputs. So you can run it in stereo. However from those outputs, you just get a stereo signal. You can't get one with effects, & one dry. However, if you are using it as a recording Interface via USB into a D.A.W. you can do exactly that. Run one track with effects, & one dry. It can be used this way to re amp also. I hope this helps. Yes, but there is a few more effects, like the 2 Darkglass distortions/overdrives. Far more footswitches, & I.O. options. It all depends on what you are looking for. This unit is primarily for guitar. There is a bunch of new amps/effects for guitar in this unit, but not a bunch for bass.
I am not a fan of the fretless simulator either. Just liker I am not fan of the acoustic Guitar simulators in the Guitar Modelers/Multi effects units. These units are still more than worth the price though. Not all sounds are good, but you can find more than enough to make it worth it's cost.
