It speaks up how strong Sofia had become that Makoto started touching all out by going archer mode. Unfortunately, that just made the power gap all the bigger so it ended up not looking like that much.

Wasn't even that, Makoto literally was so done with Sofia talking he just decided to end it and as a last act of respect he used his bow, more so because she brought him to an isolated space, where no one would see what happens there aside Root, he could simply kept using his mana armor and won, in the novel he doesn't even let her do anything, he keeps her at bay with the armor and shoots only one arrow he supercharged with mana and destroys the whole space and every sword at the same time, he even mocks her as "even her death was anti climatic"

She is not dead. She is Luto's daughter and she will simply be "brainwashed" by Luto (memory erased). And become a friend of Makoto with her new persona. When Luto tell Tomoe that he had a child with an otherworlder, he told the truth. She is half-dragon. For unknown reason, Sofia seems to believe she was "created". But she was in fact conceived.

The fight in the LN Makoto only used one arrow and it was a Draupnir Arrow he shot at the ground. If you know how destructive those arrows are, you know why he shot it towards the ground.

@dghutros. Yeah i could definitely see this series getting a third season. But season 2 took a while to come out, so we might have to wait a bit for season 3. I wouldn't be surprised if there was also going to be a season 4. This series did a great job in following the story with the source material, but with slight deviation. Not enough to derail the story, but enough to have some fun. And with little use of CGI. I wish other anime series were as well made as this one. Arifureta was a good series, but the anime quality was nowhere as good as Tsukimichi

Kyudo vs archery. Typically, when he was practicing with a bow, he was practicing a form of martial arts. A very distinct and refined form of using a bow. However, typical archery gets rid of most of these but may still take aspects of the pulling method. Basically, stop doing the martial arts, and just be good at landing blows.
