So over here in Germany, a few weeks ago, I went to a tech store and saw a Ryzen 9 5950x there, and I was starring at that thing like it was a blessing from God or something. Few days later my friend went to the same store and saw a white Asus 3060. He then told me it was immediately bought. This has to be the worst feeling when that thing is right in front of you and you know you can't just take it home.

Jokes on you if you still can't get high-demand electronics online at MSRP. It was cake to get this stuff at the height of the chip shortage as long as you subscribed to online stock notifiers and were willing to buy within a few seconds notice (using a bot really helps too). Unfortunately that method is used by scalpers, who you must admit, have a proven method of getting high-demand electronics easily and in large numbers from anywhere in the world. You would think the average person would be jumping on to using these methods with how extremely easy and convenient they are. Yet we still have dumbasses waiting in front of stores that get a handful of stock and so you waste your time standing around with a bunch of halfwit scalpers that haven't figured out how to use a computer yet to source their products. lmfao.

What happens is the employees working there know when they get a new shipment in of GPUs or CPUs, so those employees text their friends, who then show up at opening to snatch all the new product and resell it. People think MicroCenter is 'fair', but it's not....their employees are basically commiting espionage.

he was most likely worried about compatibility, say he does buy 2 seperate packs of 3800 spd all 4 sticks may not run at that speed but since he bought a 4 pack they're basically guaranteed compatible all together. It's a small chance you'll get a variation in speeds if you're buying ram that's not all in on kit.

I second @@rodneyrogers1319 on this. RAM kits actually advertise speeds for the memory that's in that one kit only. So if it says 8GB x2 (16GB total) rated for 3600MHz, that speed will only work for those two 8GBs in that one kit. If you add another of that same kit (to make 8GB x2 + 8GB x2), chances are it's not going to run at the advertised speeds, even if both 8GBs x2 kits says it runs at 3600MHz. Basically, if you're planning to have all the 4 RAM slots filled up, it's better to get a set of 4 RAM kit because the advertised speed would be more accurate.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that feels like that. I have a 3080 on backorder since September and it's frustrating seeing all these tech RU-vidrs get privileges like this. I realize it's their job and all but it's like they're out of touch with the regular consumers. I feel so bad for anyone that took the time and effort to get to the store early for a 3090 that day.

There were several 3070's. He should have built two 5600X/3070 computers, leaving the 5950X and 3090 for other customers, shown how to build a reasonable mid-tier build, still have spent way less than he did despite now having two PCs, and then had the opportunity to give one of them away.
